My love for the Lelo Nea knows no bounds.

The relationship started out iffy.  I won this vibrator in a contest over on the Eden Fantasys forums.  (Have you checked out the forums over there?  They’re a very nifty tool if you have questions about toys, toy use and sexuality in general)  When it got here I had no patience. I opened it and fondled it and exclaimed over it and tried to use it almost immediately.  And I was sad.  It had no oomph!

You’ll notice, if you own the Nea or any other Lelo toys, that I skipped a step.  Yes, I skipped charging it.  It was already charged enough, you see, to turn on and work so I didn’t plug it in and give it a full charge.  And so it was tired.  It was lazy.  It was just a wee buzz that put a snuffly frown upon my face.

Silly me.

A few days later I plugged the lovely Nea in and let it suck up the energy it needed.  It blinked and winked at me for a couple of hours and, when it was sated, I pulled the plug out of the tiny charging port and turned it on.  The Nea sprang to life in my hand, buzzing and humming a much merrier tune.

And it was a love song.

The Lelo Nea is a tiny, curved, hard plastic vibrator that curls around the pubic bone and nestles into the clit like it was built especially to do so.  (And it was!)  The Nea I chose is a deep, rose pink with beautiful silver flowers embossed upon it.  (It also comes in black and pale blue)  The underside features two small buttons for controlling her vibrations while the back of the Nea has a small charging port for plugging her in.

I was really amazed by the small size of the Nea, which measures 3 inches long by 2 inches wide.  Even having seen pictures, I expected it to be a bit larger and more bulky.  Instead, it’s a like a wee, ergonomically shaped bullet — only more luxurious and sophisticated than any bullet ever imagined it could be.

Nea has five stimulation modes; ten levels of straight vibration and four pulsation/escalation patterns.  These are easily controlled by pressing it’s small buttons.  The button on the right starts your vibration and every subsequent press increases it in increments.  Once you’ve hit the full intensity of straight vibration, pressing and holding the same button starts the patterns.  Each press of the right button then scrolls thru the pulsation patterns endlessly.  To return to straight vibration, one only has to press the left side button.  Each press to the left button decreases the vibration until it turns off.  Pressing and holding both buttons for a few seconds causes the Nea to lock; this locking function makes the pleasure object (don’t you just love that?  No sex toy, this Nea or any Lelo product.  They are objects of pleasure, objects of lust) safe against being accidentally turned on and draining your battery, as well as terrific for travel. (Even if it only travels in your purse, your constant companion)

The Nea is quite strong for her size and amazingly quiet considering the pinpoint, high vibrations you get.  It has a slight, high pitched sound behind the sound of the vibrations that fades a bit as you reach stronger vibrations but nothing that will be heard thru a closed door and, in fact, can only barely be heard from under the covers.

Because it is made of hard plastic, the Nea can be used with any sort of lube and cleaned with soap and water, toy cleaner or wipes.  I use wipes for this one since I’m not sharing and it’s not splash proof.  If you do use water to clean it, try to avoid the charging port and make sure you gently blow into the charging port to be certain there is no dampness lingering inside.

Like all Lelo toys, the Nea comes packaged marvelously; a rose colored outer box surrounding the hard, black “Lelo” embossed gift box which doubles as a fantastic way to store your pleasure object.  It also comes with a small, white satin, draw-string pouch as well as a charger, an information and use booklet and a one year warranty.  Be sure to save your receipt and keep it with your warranty information!

The charger I received is for US outlets but I’m fairly certain Lelo also offers adapters for the type of plugs needed in other countries.  A two hour charge gives you six or more hours of indulgent vibrations.

I cannot thank Eden Fantasys enough for the chance to win this toy.  It’s amazing, beautiful, discreet, rechargeable and a joy to use.  I cannot thank Lelo enough for making such incredible objects for our pleasure.  I now own both the Nea and the Liv and they are the two things I’d fight to keep if someone was trying to steal all my toys.

Not that we have a lot of sex toy/pleasure object thieves in my area but, you know…

Just sayin’.
