Smart Balls
I have wanted Smartballs for a good, long time and just couldn’t justify the expense when I already have a set of vaginal balls plus a barbell type exerciser. Hence, when Babeland offered them up for review, I leaped on the chance to try them.
Smartballs are a combination stimulating sex toy/kegel exercisor made by the always incredible Fun Factory. Made from elastomed – which is phthalates free and less porous than rubber or jelly but not as safe as silicone and not sterilizable – the Smartballs measure in at 1 1/2 x 4 inches.
Smartballs come in a variety of colors, are incredibly fun to look at and have gotten rave reviews since their inception.
The toy is two elastomed balls, connected together by a short elastomed shaft, with smaller balls inside that whirl and spin to create a sort of vibrating sensation inside you. They’re intended to be stimulating and to force you to clench around them, strengthening your kegel muscles.
Smart balls have an elastomed covered string for retrieval and quite a bit of flexibility in the shaft – though the instruction book warns you not to repeatedly bend it sharply since it can break.
My personal reaction to the smart balls is rather “so-so”. They’re a little long for my anatomy. While I can easily accomodate more than their scant four inches when I’m aroused, they feel overly long and solid when I’m wearing them around the house or out and about or particularly when I”m just sitting still.
I just couldn’t get them situated all the way inside me unless I was already aroused or we’d already had sex that day. It wasn’t that they slipped down and I could fix that with use and muscle strenghtening. It was that they just didn’t want to go all the way in and the area that connects the string to the balls aggravated my vaginal entrance something fierce.
I do not think it’s an issue with the smartballs themselves since they work for so, so many women. I think it’s just my anatomy. I’d probably do better with the Teneo, also by Fun Factory and one of the many, many sex toys carried by Babeland.
I’d definitely still recommend them to anyone looking for a fun, colorful way to discreetly exercise their kegels and provide themselves with a bit of stimulation and a full feeling. I’d only warn folks to be aware of their anatomy and choose between the regular smartballs and the teneo based upon that.
Clean up is easy with soap and water but sharing is not advised!
