Cutest packaging ever

orion package We all know I’m a fan of Evolved, right?  And I’m sure everyone can guess that when the Bottle Rocket line came out I was going to have to have one, right?

I mean…  mini vibe in a bottle?  Can you get any cuter than that?

I didn’t think so.

Anyhow…

The good folks over at Lustique were kind enough to send me one; the Orion, to be exact.  And it is, indeed, just about the cutest thing ever.  It’s a light, bright purple – though it comes in red, too – packaged in it’s own plastic “soda” bottle with a realistic bottle cap.  The Orion has the typical Evolved sort of pointed bottom and a slightly bulbous head.  It also features raised, vertical ridges that make for a very neat sensation when you rub it along your vulva and clitoris.

I was kind of uncertain about the bottle rocket line since they run on a single AA battery and I generally find those to be less than powerful.  The Orion, however, had a lot more in the power department than I expected.  It’s not super-amazing-NASA-powered or anything but for a single battery vibe it’s pretty impressive.  It was definitely enough to get me off clitorally, though it took awhile.

orion It’s controlled via push button in the battery cap and is single speed.  I’ve gotten so used to Evolved’s three speed push button vibes that only one speed sort of flabbergasted me for a bit but, really, one speed is all I needed.

The Orion is a small, rocket/bullet type vibe so I didn’t try using it for penetration though you probably could if you like shallow penetration; the ridges/ribbing would probably feel great if you gave it a twist or spin inside of you.  To me it just didn’t seem like it would be long enough to give me the sensations I like internally but it’s certainly possible those who like small toys would love it.  It definitely shouldn’t be used anally.  There is no flared base and it could easily slip completely into one’s ass.

Did I mention it’s waterproof and very, very quiet?  No?  It is.  And it makes a really nice, super discreet bath/shower toy.

I will definitely be pulling this one out over and over again since it’s small enough to use during intercourse without being numbingly strong – perfect for longer lovemaking sessions where you want it to last awhile.

  1. I had to have one too, for the same reasoning. However, it’s not quite the right….hmm. See I need to find the proper word for this. Pitch? It’s a higher buzzy. A faster buzzy. But faster doesn’t mean more power. I have this other traditional pocket rocket that was cheaper than hell and I’ve no clue who makes it and it’s the perfect pitch for me. Louder, sure, but lower and a little less fast.
Yeah I definitely need to figure out a way to properly describe it because it’s just as important as intensity, to me.

  2. How odd! Cuz I don’t normally like high vibrations. I like a low, deep vibe. This one seemed sort of in the middle to me.

Either people really do perceive things majorly differently or there’s that much difference from vibe to vibe in the same line – which is not really a good thing!

  3. Huh. Yanno……there really could be differences from vibe to vibe. I’d love to get together with other reviewers and our pile o’ toys and do tests to see if the one I -hated- and you -loved- are the identical same. When I post my review I think I’m going to do a short video clip or something to show the difference between the two vibes I mentioned above.

  4. These are too cute! I’ve been eyeing them simply because of the packaging and well….Fourth of July is coming up and all so, I thought it would be kind of a neat theme or something. Thanks so much for the review!

  5. Yeah, I wasn’t thinking they’d be so small, either. Most one battery toys just aren’t quite enough for me. But it’s cute and the bottle is adorable so… I couldn’t totally blast it cuz for a lot of folks it’s probably just right.
