The Kind of Lovin that Can be so Smooth

A friend of mine got a glass butt plug awhile back.  She posted about it – either on Fetlife or in her blog, I can’t remember which – and someone commented about how absolutely dangerous such a thing was.  Because, what if, you know, you got in a car accident and it broke in your ass????

To which I had to reply that, should I happen to be wearing a glass anal plug whilst driving and I get in an accident severe enough to break the pyrex that’s buried in my ample ass, I’m probably going to have numerous other, more life threatening injuries to worry about than sex toy injuries.

And I’ve wanted a glass plug ever since.

So meet my Luxotiq glass anal plug.  Isn’t she gorgeous?

Four and three quarters inches long with a four and a half inch insertable length and a one and three eighths inch diameter, the Luxotiq plug is on the small side; perfect for beginner users yet not so small that experienced anal players will feel slighted.

The plug comes packaged in an exquisite white and pink box with a ribbon closure.  It’s like a beautifully wrapped gift, the presentation making you even more excited about what you’ll find inside.

What you find inside is pretty spectacular.

When you first open the box, the plug is hidden under a soft, pink, lint free cloth for wiping it down.

No finger prints or water drops on this baby after cleaning.  Just give it a quick polish with the cloth and it shines like it’s brand spanking new, reflecting the light and looking more like art than a sex toy.

Under the cloth you find the Luxotiq plug itself, snuggled into a bed of white satin.  This is one of my favorite sorts of packaging and storage for toys; it’s just so lovely on top of being practical and protective of the glass.

The plug is completely sealed in a plastic overwrap – another bonus, as you know you’re getting a new toy that hasn’t been manhandled by a bunch of folks.

Have I gone on and on about the packaging?  I have, haven’t I?  I can’t help it.  I took oodles of pictures and I find myself playing with the box at least a few times a day, even if I’m not using (or intending to use) the plug.

It’s a joy to look at, to touch.  It’s aesthetically the best packaging I’ve seen yet.

The plug itself is sleek, smooth, with no texture to mar it’s perfect curves.  The smaller yet rounded tip inserts like a dream.  The fuller shaft of the toy is just enough to give a stretch to the anus, to leave you feeling full without discomfort of any kind.  (Always a concern with glass plugs as they’re firm, with no give or flex and can be painful to insert if you choose one that is too big, more so than a softer silicone or jelly type toy)

The base is not significantly wider than the fullest part of the plug but it is wide enough (and has a small enough taper to the base) that I didn’t feel like it was unsafe.  At the same time, it’s small enough to sit fairly comfortably between my well cushioned cheeks.  It may feel a bit wide to a thinner person with less padding as it is quite solid but at less than two inches in diameter it’s not, by any means, huge or anything.

The Luxotiq plug was comfortable for me in all ways; good girth, easy to insert, excellent for extended wear, a secure base.  The glass is flawlessly smooth and the bulges are stimulating yet gentle.

The glass is heavy for it’s size; half a pound.  It’s weighty enough that you know you’ve got something nice and substantial buried in your ass but not so heavy it’s hard to keep in.

It works well for extended wear, paired with intercourse or masturbation, even for gentle thrusting.

This beautiful glass plug is made from Pyrex – or borosilicate – glass and is quite safe.  It’s designed to break in large pieces if it were to break, rather than tiny shards.  It’s also excellent for temperature play as it holds temperature well; simply running it under hot or cold water can totally change your anal experience.

Use care with any temperature play, however.  Too hot can burn your anal tissues, too cold can cause cramping.

Pyrex is non porous and can be used with any sort of lube.  It can also be boiled, bleached or dishwashed (without soap, in the top rack) if you want to sterilize it (which means it can safely be shared) or simply washed with soap and water for a simpler cleaning.

Store it in the box – or a padded bag – to keep it safe and you have a wonderful toy that should give you years of enjoyment.

The only concerns I have about the Luxotiq anal plug are the smallish neck — which would be the only area I’d fear might break — and the ribbon closure on the box – which doesn’t hold the box tightly closed.  I’d suggest not playing hockey with the plug in or tossing the box off your balcony and you should be fine. :)
