Last month I was the incredibly lucky winner of  toywithme’s Gigi giveaway.  And not just any Gigi but the new, gorgeous blue Gigi.  Can you say squee?  I can.  I did.  And then again when it came in the mail.  I sqeeeed so loud I think I hurt myself. The Gigi is truly a beautiful and unusual toy. From it’s fantastic packaging — I hold all toys to the LELO standard these days and few live up to it — to the satiny white satin storage back to the Caribbean blue color that screams summer, the new Gigi is a pleasure to look at.

It’s a pleasure to use, too.  Rechargeable so there are no batteries to worry about.  Multiple speeds of vibration starting at a barely there hum and ending with just enough oomph to perfectly tingle your bits.  Multiple vibrational patterns, as well.  One of them in particular drives me wild as it’s totally in tune with the kind of teasing touches I like best. The controls are easy to use — almost too easy, as they sometimes get nudged unintentionally during use! — and can be locked for travel.  They light up and glow red when the charge is low. The head of the Gigi is perfectly formed for g-spot stimulation.  Upon insertion it’s drawn to the g-spot like a magnet to metal.  It rubs it delicously and the vibrations, focused in that flat, wide head, give decent stimulation with minimal thrusting.  I found that to be a good thing since, for me, the shape of the head was very uncomfortable with thrusting.  It catches on my pubic bone and sort of hurts.  I did find it stimulating to hold it still or rock it a bit as it was vibrating, but not so much with thrusting.

For clitoral stimulation, however, the Gigi just rocks.  That flat head gives you a lot of surface area to cover your clit and the velvety silicone gives a luscious drag.

There were a few things I didn’t like about the Gigi — the too easy to press controls, the discomfort with rapid thrusting and the absense of enough length to thrust really well — but over all, I’m pretty much in love.  The pros definitely outweigh the cons.

Even though her shape is so similar to the Ella that I wasn’t overly fond of, the vibrations and ability to use it as a clitoral vibe really make the Gigi full of win for me.

Gigi can be cleaned with soap and water, toy wipes, a spray of ten percent bleach solution or an alcohol wipe down.  Use care, however, as she isn’t waterproof or even splashproof and geting moisture in her control panel or charging port can ruin the toy.

Silicone lubes can also react badly with the silicone Gigi so stick to water based for this toy.

Charging takes about two hours and gives around 3 – 4 hours of use.
