About a month or so ago, Domina Doll had a contest/giveaway over on her site, Pop My Cherry, for some Lust Cosmetics products.  I was one of  the lucky winners — though I didn’t realize it until a jar of Lust for Double O cream arrived in my mailbox.

I’m not reuquired, by any means, to review this product but I was very, very impressed by it and figured Lust Cosmetics deserves a bit of love because of it.

The Double O cream came packaged in a simple but modernly elegant looking box; white with black and red accents.  Inside the box is a small, clear plastic tub, similar to that you find lipgloss in only larger with barely noticeable brand stickers on the sides.  The clear jar looks like glass and is fairly heavy.  It’s nice and definitely comparable to the packaging of any quality cosmetic.

Inside the tub is a creamy balm that reminds me of the consistency of Body Shop lip balms only it’s not for the lips.  Not those lips anyhow.  This stuff is made for the more sensitive lips down below, for the clitoris and nipples and any tender bit that likes a bit of tingle and heat.  Running a finger inside the jar gives you a thin coating that’s easy to apply where ever you please.  It’s not slick or oily or greasy or goopy – it really is just a thin layer of very light balm that instantly brings a rush of sensation and a very pleasant tingle.  It’s not overly hot or minty; in fact, though it contains both menthol and peppermint like a lot of tingling or heating lubes, it’s not overwhelming (or underwhelming, as so many of them can be).  Neither is it really a lube.  It doesn’t provide a lot of slick lubrication but it does provide a sensation that seems to be just right.  The very pleasant effects of the balm actually do seem to increase my arousal and stimulate natural wetness and desire.

Is it a miracle libido cream?  Nah.  But it does feel really, really good and makes you feel sort of clenchy and needy.  It makes your clitoris and labia feel like they’re just begging to be touched.

Which…  yanno…  works for me!

The balm contains mostly natural ingredients: almond, coconut and borage oils, shea butter, menthol, peppermint, capsicum, ginseng, beeswax and some aroma and preservetives — though no parabins, sugars or glycerine.  The scent is menthol-like when you first open the jar but it has an underlying very light floral scent that becomes a bit more pronounced when you rub it into your skin.  The minty scent almost vanishes and you’re left with a nice, very light scent reminiscent of roses.

It’s a bit pricey at  $30 for a .50 ounce jar but a little goes a long, long way and I haven’t even used a measurable amount in the month or two I’ve had it.

I’m definitely impressed and can’t wait to try more products from Lust Cosmetics.  They have massage oils – both flavored and non and, omg, can you say  hot caramel craving and cherried treasure, anyone? — and  body lotions, lube and an arousal mist that all look wonderful.
