Cinnamon buns for your buns and stuff

Sensual, good tasting stuff.  I like it.  It’s a weakness of mine.  And Swede Fruity Love sucked me in with it’s nifty looking 6.75 ounce bottle and cinnamon vanilla flavor/scent option.  Not exactly fruity but still…  nom!

Was I pleased?  Yes and no.  Swede Fruity Love massage oils are oil free, instead relying on non oily ingredients like glycerol and propolene glycol and water to make them slick.  They’re body safe unless you’re sensitive to one of the ingredients and can, in a pinch, double as lube.  Certainly there are few worries if intimate spots get massaged, at any rate.

However, due to the lack of oil and the addition of flavor, they also tend to get a bit sticky and aren’t as long lasting.  So it’s kind of a trade off.

I LOVE the way this massage oil smells; like a warm cinnamon bun with a hint of vanilla.  A soft cinnamon scent instead of a red hot candy kind of aroma.

Pouring some into my hand it feels thick in the same way honey feels thick.  It’s not really thick but it’s not thin, either, and the slight stickiness makes it seem thicker than it is.  Rubbing it onto the body, I was surprised.  It’s actually slick!  I thought my hands would drag but they didn’t.  They glided over Taylor’s shoulders when I used it there quite easily and the warming properties, though minimal, did increase the heat he’d normally feel from just my hands.  The “oil” stayed rubbable for about ten minutes when I used a nickel sized dollop so while it’s not the most long lasting thing, it’s not bad, either.

The warm, soft, comforting scent rose from the skin enough to make me happy though Taylor, the rubbee, couldn’t really smell it.  When I was the rubbee, I could smell it but not heavily.  It’s not a scent that’s going to invade your room or be overwhelming.

When I bent to kiss and lick at his back and shoulders, the taste was quite good; sweet but not cloyingly so with a hint of cinnamon taste but more of a general, all around sweetness than any specific flavor.  (Kind of like buying flavored coffee that’s supposed to taste like baked goods – be it sugar cookie or cinnamon bun or struessel, it all sort of tastes vaguely the same and yet…  not.  You know?)

In general, this is a great sensual aid for fun times; it tastes good, smells good, works adequately and encourages us to be sexy and fun, to enjoy our bodies a bit more.  But it does get sticky after awhile and definitely needs to be washed off after use.  When it was applied to me I didn’t wash until the next morning and, while I didn’t feel totally sticky and gross, I felt…  coated?  Kind of dirty.  Like I was very glad to have a shower.

I’d definitely buy it again because I really love the scent – and we all know how I am about scents – but it’s not going to be for everyone and it’s not a product you’ll want to use if you’re serious about your massages.

I DO use this as lube when I play with toys clitorally on occasion.  I enjoy the smell and the fact that it’s less slippery than most lubes.  It allows the toys to retain some drag against my skin while still lessening the friction so it’s not painful.  Use caution in this application if you’re sensitive to ingredients or prone to yeast infections, etc.

  1. So far I’m pretty impressed with this company, overall. I have their water based, body friendly pH, lube and I like it a lot. Although, the prospect of warm cinnamon bun smell sounds fantastic. lol, Great review of course!
