Full Moon

Glass.  I have a serious thing for it.  I have glass bottles all over my house; bottles and vases in cobalt blue and apothacary brown, emerald green and plum, blood red and pink.  Glass sex toys thrill me to no end.  They’re just so beautiful!

The Moon Plug from Xhale Glass has been on my wish list since the first time I peeked around on the Eden Fantasys site.  I’ve taken it off a few times cuz it was out of stock for a long time but it never failed to go back on, in hopes that someday I’d have one.

And now I do.

And it is amazing.

I want to say that it’s large but it’s really not.  It’s 4.5 inches long with a 4 inch insertable length.  The neck is .5 inch.  The bulbous plug part is wider than most of my dildos and vibes at an eight of an inch scant of 2 inches but I’ve used larger plugs.  What it is is solid; firm, ungiving, inflexible, substantial, hefty — however you want to say it, this thing doesn’t have a millimeter of give.  Which, of course, makes it feel larger than a softer, silicone or jelly type plug would feel.  Glass butt plugs, while the same size as many other types, feel bigger.

And man, do you ever notice them in your ass.  That lack of squishiness, of any give at all, makes you uber aware of them and you feel every bit of their girth as a nice, solid stretch and fullness.

The Moon Plug is beautiful.  Clear glass with an elegant stem and round base — both of which are extremely comfortable — the bulbous plug part has numerous gold and pink spheres or “moon” that appear to be floating on the surface of the glass.

The glass itself is Pyrex and Xhale Glass has an impecible reputation for quality, durable glass products.  (Sarah Sloane did an interview with them here)  The glass is slick and flawless to the touch and normally needs very little lube to be comfortable.  This plug, because it’s on the girthier side and because it’s for anal use, definitely needs a bit of lube though.  Silicone, water based, oil based, it doesn’t matter — just use some.  Insertion, for most, is going to be a stretch and lube makes it ever so much easier.  (As does a warm up!)

The Moon Plug can be boiled to sterilize it if you feel the need.  It can also be wiped down with a ten percent bleach solution or washed in your dishwasher with no soap.  Or just give it a good scrub in the sink with antibacterial soap and water if you don’t plan to share it.

The round base on the Moon Plug, by the way, is surprisingly comfortable.  The thin stem with it’s good length helps keep the plug in for extended wear and the base, while firm and ungiving, is still quite comfortable when you sit on it, even for an hour or two.  Beyond that, you may have to adjust a little but that’s normal with most plugs.

This one is a bit large for double penetration; having vaginal sex with it in made things very, very tight and sort of odd.  Not painful but not really a good feeling, either.  Mastrubation with it in, however?  Yum.  Very, very yum.  And it stayed in with orgasm, too.

Store the Moon Plug carefully.  It comes with an amazing, velvet, ZIPPERED bag and I’d suggest keeping it in there when not in use.
