I got the Silicone Fun Vibe Twist from sextoy.com because I was excited about a reasonably priced silicone classic vibe.
The Fun Vibe Twist is a 7 inch, purple, ridged vibrator that runs on two AAA batteries. It retails for under $30.
The vibrations are strong and deep, the girth is wonderful at around an inch and a half. The twists are smooth and noticeable yet not overly textured.
It looked fantastic.
It probably would have felt fantastic.
But.
Yes, there is a but.
I never actually got to use it.
I performed the trial by fire before I tried to use it and, unfortunately, the Twist failed.
Real silicone isn’t supposed to melt at under 600 degrees. That means a match held to it should cause a sooty mark that wipes away, rather than a melted mess.
With the Twist, I got a melted mess.
Sextoy.com does advertise it as a silicone rubber blend but the packaging, as you can see, says it’s 100% medical grade silicone.
It’s not.
Hence it failed the fire test and I could no longer attempt to use it without putting said melted mess up my hoo hoo. Not something I wanted to do.
Sincere apologies to sextoy.com for not testing the vibe in use before I melted it! However… part of me is quite glad as I’d have assumed it was silicone and not used a condom and I’m not entirely sure I like the idea of sticking toys that melt in my uber precious vagina. (It is uber precious. shush!)
Here’s a video example of it melting. The quality isn’t so good but you can get the idea, anyhow.
The Twist IS waterproof, it vibrates well and solidly, the multi speed dial turns easily, batteries go in with no issue. It’s just not silicone. If that doesn’t bother you, it’s a good vibe. If it does…
Try something else.

I drink a lot of coffee, ride a motorcycle, have an 18 year old son and a decade long relationship that began in a chat room.

no surprise there, i suppose. no one can produce 100% medical grade silicone toys for under $30. PERIOD!
too bad our industry can’t establish some standards. why do we feel the need to deceive our customers?

I know, right?
It was bad enough when folks were saying TPR was “silicone”.
But to say something is 100% medical grade, etc, etc…
It’s just flat out wrong.
Nice! You even had a control demonstration!
Truth in advertising FTW.

I was sent one of these for review awhile ago, and gave it a chance (minus the melting). It was…just as awful as you’d expect. I don’t remember it being marketed as 100% silicone, but I knew the second I saw it that it was rubber. Maybe it was made next to silicone, but even from the looks it’s not the real thing. Material matters aside, it’s still a bad vibe. No bendiness, doesn’t hit any of the right spots, and my god, if you’re going to bother giving the thing ridges, make them feel good! Now I wish I’d melted it instead of tossing it. Might’ve been more fun.
