So I rang in the new year with good friends, good wine, good music. Then came home and had a rollicking bout of butt sex with the Man.
We went for dinner early and I had my first Cosmo. It was less yummy than it looked but it was okay. Then it was over to friends for drinks and karaoke. Nothing like all that warmth and love that comes from spending time with friends you’ve had for a long time and feeling comfortable enough to sing bad, bad renditions of “Red Neck Woman”.
The ass sex was amazing and I slept like a baby.
Today? Been laying around like a lazy heifer — first naked then in a monster flannel shirt as it got closer to time for the teen to come home — and I’ve barely left the bed all day. I’ve peed, made breakfast, endless cups of coffee and, in between, been nesting with the laptop in a heaven of white sheets and down.
What a super way to spend the first day of the year.
Is it wrong that being lazy is a good way for me to spend the day? Heh. There’s just something happy and comfy and indulgent about spending the day in bed. I think eventually I’m going to run myself a hot, cocoa/goji scented bath and lose myself in a book…
