I might cry if J scheduled a PAP for my gift, but if it was along side something else (anything really) I might cry for another reason…knowing he really cares about my health. Honestly, he would do something like this, he is forever making cardiology appointments for me when he is worried about me :) It is a sweet thought when you think about it.

As for casserole…make it and skip the chips and add them when you reheat (in the oven of course). :) You can come to my house and have some anytime :)

We do… elbow noodles, cream of mushroom soup, tuna, milk, peas, onions with crushed up potato chips on top. :) Nommy nommy comfort food.

Aww, teh sadness! lol

Tuna Casserole with chips? Crunchy? This is new to me, we make Tuna Noodle. It’s got tuna, fluffy egg noodles, hard boiled egg and halved green olives in it. It’s pretty much the ultimate comfort food. ^-^ Mmmm.

Don’t tell anyone but Taylor is actually a really nice guy. Cuz for TWO years, he ATE my tuna casserole even though he hates it.

And then the shine wore off or something.

Lmao.

I occasionally get leftovers from my mom but, yanno, reheated the chips lose their crunch. *sigh*

I’m not allowed to buy sauerkraut, either.

But the sex rocks!

Oh wait, your post wasn’t about that, was it.

But still. Six YEARS. Come to my house and we’ll have tuna casserole. Taylor and W can go eat…I don’t know, whatever guys eat. :-P

Having it as your only gift certainly would be a bummer, but I am with you on this one… it’s a gift that shows you care. Being on birth control pills has forced me to have an annual pap smear since I was 16. But lately, I’ve been having them every 6 months due to my own cervical cancer scares. A lot of women cringe when I say I have my appointment, but for me, it’s a walk in the park. After 2 cervical biopsies and cryosurgery, I’m thankful to just have a pap smear. Women, take care of yourselves!

lol, I totally hear where you’re coming from. And I agree, a reminder/suggestion is no big, it’s way crazy to make a big deal out of the suggestion to be healthy and safe.

So I don’t really think the content is off base, but the presentation…maybe a tad. I mean, I think this guy’s tone could’ve been the same if he was doing a commercial on spaying and nuetering your pets. If my guy scheduled an appointment for a pap smear for me the way I schedule a vet appointment for my dog, I would be annoyed. I mean really? What, so I can’t schedule my own medical appointments now?

I just think the commercial would’ve been better off, and more accepted, had it been directed at women, rather than the male population, who (generally) do not have vaginas to get swabbed. I’m surprised so many people have reacted to it though! lol
