Does the world need another review of the Fun Factory Delight? Probably not. But seeing as a new version is coming out, I figured I’d do one anyhow.
Let’s start with the basics. The Delight is a uniquely shaped dual stimulator designed to please both g-spot and clitoris. Shaped rather like a fancy “S’ the Delight is a combination of silicone and plastic, squishy at the tip and thru the insertable shaft, firm and rigid thru the clitoral bump and “royal curl” shaped handle. The silicone, like all Fun Factory silicone, is matte and velvety with a drag that feels wonderful against the skin and provides a bit more stimulation than glossier materials. (It can also cause a bit more difficulty with insertion so use a good, water based lube with this one.)
Insertion of the tip/shaft of the Delight is supposed to align the clitoral bump… well… with your clitoris. For me, this alignment was off and the small bump at the end of the shaft aligned more with the entrance of my vagina but I still managed to get dual stimulation as the vibrations can be felt a fair way up the plastic and silicone curl. Vibrations are quite powerful, too. Centered mostly in the g-spot tip they are intense and, in combination with the shape, stimulate that spot delightfully. Ha. Delightfully. Get it? Along the rest of the shaft, near the clitoral bump and up the curl, they are still strong but less focused, more diffused. Once you reach the handle and the control buttons, you really can’t feel them — which is nice as it keeps your fingers from tingling as you hold and maneuver the toy.
Inserting the Delight has proven to be difficult for some. Because of the extreme curve of the tip and shaft, you cannot insert it straight as you would a dildo. It needs to be angled and sort of rocked into the vagina. Once there, however, it fits like it was created just for you and the slightly bulbous tip really centers in on and rubs against the g-spot. Again, because of it’s shape, you cannot really thrust with the Delight. Rocking it, rubbing it from side to side and in small circles gives the best results. (If you require heavy, fast thrusting for g-spot stim, the Delight is probably not for you) This makes it even more important to have strong vibrations in that tip and the Delight really comes thru. The rocking motions along with the intense, buzzy vibrations generally give me g-spot orgasms in a matter of minutes.
Clitoral stimulation is diffused and not at all pinpoint so if you need very strong, very focused stimulation on your clit, this may not work as a dual stimulator for you. It really adds a level of intensity to the g-spot stim to have your clit also buzzing but it’s probably not going to be intense enough for everyone.
For me, it’s perfect. When I go for g-spot orgasms, clit stimulation is a little bonus of sensation but not really required.
The vibrator is controlled by press buttons on the top, curled part of the shaft. A plus and a minus that do the usual things; plus turns it on and increases vibrational intensity in increments (10 levels in all), minus decreases and turns the toy off. At the peak of intensity levels, holding the plus button will give you a choice of three patterns; very basic pulses and an escalating sort of pattern.
One of the coolest things about the Delight, however, is the way it charges. The Delight is rechargeable so no batteries to buy, ever. Similar to the Form 6, it has it’s own case where small metal tabs in the back part of the shaft line up with metal tabs inside the case. The case itself has a port where the charging jack plugs in, then plugs into the wall. So the Delight essentially charges magnetically thru it’s case. Newer versions will not have the case and the charging cord will be similar to that of the G-ki – magnetically attaching to the toy itself.
Make sure the Delight is dry before you put it in it’s case for charging. While charging, a red light will blink in the control panel and will turn off when it’s fully charged, after about three hours if it’s been fully discharged. The Delight cannot be overcharged and should always be fully charged for best response. Store your Delight in it’s case, plugged in, with no worries about ruining the batteries. Each full charge lasts about 90 minutes.
The Delight is water resistant but not waterproof. Take it in the shower but do not submerge! This makes for very easy cleaning as you can run it under hot water, washing with a mild soap. You can also use toy cleaner, wipes, spray or even a bleach solution on the Delight to sterilize it.
For me, the Delight is an excellent addition to my arsenal. The strong vibrations and curled shape really do it for my g-spot. I’m very partial to a rocking sensation, to rocking the toy and my hips to get my stimulation, so this is almost ideal for me. I like it as much as I like the Lelo Ina and the G-ki, all of which give me dual stimulation but are different enough to keep the sextoy boredom away. :) (you can get all three at Eden Fantasys in a veritable rainbow of colors)
The Delight is non porous, phthalates free, latex free, hypo-allergenic, with a 4 inch insertable length (if you insert all the way up to the bump) and a 1 3/8 inch diameter.
