Biopsies and Bed Sheets
Meh.
Remember last year when I had all that health stuff going on? Well, I got to celebrate Thanksgiving yet again with a fuckered up vagina.
Went for my yearly pap and, as per usual, it came back abnormal. So, off for another colposcopy, cervical and endometrial biopsies. Turns out my abnormal cells were getting worse so back in again for a cone biopsy and LEEP to get rid of those cells.
Can you say fun? Uh huh. No sex for six weeks and my crotch is like some sort of train wreck.
That doctor cut out a piece of my cervix the size of a wine bottle cork. :(
Oh well, with a bit of luck it’ll solve the problem and, eventually, I won’t have to go thru this sort of thing every. single. year.
Next up? Mammogram!
Life at 39 is ever so exciting.
Oh, and did I mention? I’ll be forty in less than a month. Twenty six days, to be exact.
Can I just roll over and hibernate for a year now? Please? Thanks.

On a happy note, Eden Cafe has come pretty close to having the same sort of stats this blog does — and I’ve been writing in this one for four years!
Then again, I rarely write here anymore (i’m sure you haven’t noticed) so my stats have dropped…
But still. I’m proud of EC and myself for the accomplishment.
Yay me!

The party last weekend went fabulously. We didn’t play. heh. Got too busy watching the most recent mud fetish/quicksand DVD release.
It is SO weird, even after all these years, to watch myself on tv.
My best acting ever? After falling into the peat bog and appearing to pass out, I “wake up” and peer confusedly at Frankenstein’s monster, who is in the bog with me. Yes. This is my best ever.
I suck. :P

And that’s all I have for today.
Oh, wait, no it’s not.
I went out and bought all new bedding today. New sheets and pillow cases and comforters. I can’t WAIT to go to bed.
Tomorrow, I may review something. Or rant.
I definitely won’t be talking about scenes or sex cuz I can’t DO that ’til new years.
*cries*

So sorry you are having to go through all of this health crap. I hope they get everything like it is suppose to be and nothing else happens. I see your birthday is in December also, like mine, but if I figured that right yours is like the day before Christmas? Mine on the 30th. Capricorns rule! LOL. Feel better hon.

Yup, Christmas Eve. And thank you!
Capricorns DO rule :P
Poor you. But look on the bright side. You’re only 39. And even next month, you’ll only be forty. Then life begins.
Gosh, i run here from time to time. What is causing the dysplasia(sp)? When i was 15, i was diagnosed w/vaginal cancer *bleck*. The result of a drug my mother took while pregnant. Consequently, my cervix looks like a piece of swiss cheese:+|. The upside is that while it is solid scar tissue, i was able to have 2 children. Do your doctor’s know why? And have i missed it? Will be praying for you this end. YIC, susan
Oh, OUCH. Having had to get a colposcopy on no pain killers, I can’t even imagine how fun and exciting LEEP is. Oy, I’m squeamish on your behalf. Sounds like you’re hanging in there and not curling up in a ball and sobbing like I did, or at least not until after you’ve left the doc’s office? ;)
.-= giggled´s last blog ..Happy Halloween! =-.
Ok, I’m way waaay behind the 8 ball because life here has been crazy since Thanksgiving (FIL in ICU with heart issues and he’s only 42 kind of crazy) so I’m just now catching up. I hope you’re feeling better and I know what you went through! A few years back I had a pap (my first in 7 years at the time, I know- I’m horrible) that came back abnormal. Went in for a colpo, they said dysplasia (I got it from bartending for so many years and being exposed to concentrations of cigarette smoke day in and day out.) They recommended LEEP, which I had, and they took out a GIANT section of my cervix. The results on that came back carcinoma in-situ, which the doctor basically explained to me as cancer that hadn’t spread anywhere else. The good news is I haven’t had any problems since then so, for me, the LEEP was effective! Hopefully you won’t either! And yeah, I remember that the soreness wore off before the time limit for the ban on sex was up. I was mean as hell by the end of that ban….
