So, more from SinFive, this time the Burgono. Weird name, kind of weird looking but ohhhhh so nice in use. Truly, this one was a surprise. It looks a little boring and a little pointy and I’d passed it by for a lot of years and then, when I got it, was pleasantly proven to be stupid.
The Burgono is neither boring nor too pointy and is, indeed, one of the more versatile and lovely toys I own.
From the easy to insert, tapered tip to the bulges and curves, the three “balled” base to the suction cup bottom, the Burgono has just about everything a user could want and can honestly be used by anyone from beginner to advanced and even works for anal use.
The Burgono is crafted from WTP – a thermoplastic that reminds me a lot of Smartballs and the Laya Spot, only a bit more squishy, with some bend and give and a very, very matte texture. It’s so matte, in fact, that it often catches on toy wipes and leaves little lint particles all over the dildo, so don’t use them! Use soap and water to clean it. It’s non porous and has an added anti microbial agent that repels bacteria so you can be fairly confident that your Burgono is safe, even for sharing and for combined anal and vaginal use – just wash it between partners or orifices. If you’re truly concerned you can, of course, cover it with a condom but it’s not really necessary.
You can use silicone or water based lubes with this one, but refrain from oil based. I have found I use a bit more lube than normal due to the extreme matte finish – it gives a nice bit of friction, but can be a little much, grabbing at the skin a bit if you don’t have sufficient wetness going on. I like silicone lube with the Burgono, since it allows me to still feel the friction but minimizes it. Water based is so gloopy, to me, that it feels like almost too much.
The Burgono has a really neat shape that is much less boring in use than it appears in pictures. The tapered tip makes it super easy to insert, even anally. The swell in the shaft after the tip is gradual and not too extreme – it maxes out at about 1.25 inches at the first bulge, then tapers in again to about an inch, then back out to it’s fullest 1.50 inches in diameter. The shaft is, as mentioned, smooth but very matte so it has a lot of drag. There is a seam running down the length on both sides that can be felt with the fingers but not in use.
The base of the Burgono is rimmed by a white plastic band with SinFive printed upon it, then widens out to the unique, three balled base. This is absolutely flared enough to use for anal play and makes an incredible hand hold. The balls fit comfortably in the palm of the hand, allowing you to thrust quite easily as well as guide, angle and tilt the dildo.
At the bottom of the base is a removable suction cup. To remove, you simply unscrew as it’s fastened with a threaded screw. The suction cup works extremely well – suctioning and staying put against any fairly slick surface. Shower walls, bathtub, chair, table, patio door… you name it, so long as it’s not a bumpy surface, it’ll stick. This makes the Burgono really easy to use hands free!
I like the Burgono best for slow thrusting. It’s not really ideal for g-spot stim as it has no curve, though it does bend and flex so you aren’t completely unable to stimulate the g-spot, it’s just more difficult than with a curved toy. I like the sensation of being penetrated with it, of feeling it open me, then dip in. I rarely get the widest bit inside of me, since the tip is a bit pointed and I’m not fond of deep, cervix bumping thrusting with such a tapered tip. It is 7 inches long with 6 of those inches insertable. The first area of the shaft that I like is roughly 4 inches long. It’s also really amazing for anal use, since the taper makes insertion much easier than a blunt head and the middle taper allows your butt to close around it a bit, rather like a plug only… not really.
I’ve also found that, due to it’s moderate size, it is an exceptional piece for double penetration – easy enough for you or your partner to hold on to and slim enough that you don’t feel stuffed full, there is still enough room in the “other” orifice for a penis or another sex toy.
Overall, the Burgono is one of my favorites. It’s a solid dildo, made well and easy to use in many ways. Always, always a good thing!
** mad thanks to nume for reminding me that this also comes with a sample pack of lubes. They’re from a german company and I can’t find them in the US but they are silicone and you get one unscented, four scented. They’re not flavored, just scented . Scents are erotic, sensual, vanil-y and fruit. Very nice, very slick but the vials they come in do leak after you open them if you tilt them.**
