Clockin’ In

Well…
I sure haven’t written here in awhile, have I?

Both lots going on and nothing going on at the same time, if that makes sense.

Let’s see if I can hit the major points, hmmm?

Taylor got a new job. He was working for a company thru the temp agency for two months and they finally hired him on full time. Can you say yay!  It’s third shift but we’re both night people anyhow so that’s not such a big deal. And it’s Sunday thru Thursday so we still have Friday and Saturday nights free, which is cool. Benefits after ninety days, no worrying that they simply won’t need him anymore like you constantly do when you work thru an agency…

It’s definitely a very good thing.

What else?
Well, I was kind of worried about the summer cuz usually the teen drives me insane. Like all kids, he gets bored and acts like a lunatic or just sulks or…
You know. Teen stuff.
But since we moved to West Allis he has a lot more friends who actually come out of the house during the day.  When we lived in Greenfield it was weird. All these kids lived in our neighborhood but none of them ever came outside. They sat in the house and watched t.v. or played video games all day.
And, I guess, they were younger then and a lot of them probably went to sitters or day care or camp during the day.
Here the kids play outside. They ride bikes and hunt grass snakes and skateboard and play baseball and shoot hoops and just stand around, hangin’ out.
Colin doesn’t turn on his t.v or games until after he’s in for the night!
So summer has been good in that regard.  It always made me feel bad when he had no one to play with. Now he’s got so many kids callin’ for him it’s almost a pain! Lol.

Hmmm…
I’m kind of bummed cuz we were just too broke to plant a lot this year. And y’all know how much I love my gardening.  *sigh*
A friend of ours gave me a couple tomato plants and a pepper plant and my ma gave me a planter full of impatiens and petunias so at least I have something. I also have dianthus, which is perennial and four rose bushes plus a climbing rose and some lilies so it’s not all bad. I just didn’t get to totally “do up” my yard and, hence, haven’t spent much time in it.
We didn’t even really get the pond lookin’ good.
Bleh.
Oh well. Next year, right?
There’s always a bright side.
I now have nearly a full year to plan what I want to do…  and I think what I really want is to find more perennials I like a lot so I don’t have to worry about buying new plants every year!

Not sure what else to say.

We were having some problems with the bike but I think they’re mostly sorted out now. Taylor had to, basically, rebuild the engine. His first time but he did it and did a good job so all is well there. :)

Gas prices are kicking our ass but that’s nothing to talk about. Their kicking everyone’s ass.

I guess that’s about it as far as updating goes.

I’ve actually been in the mood to type lately so hopefully I’ll see ya soon!

I followed you over here. Why such discontent with blogger? Probably always because it craps out all of the time, eh?

Bah. Blogger. They don’t like adult sites. They’re hooked up with google and picassa. Picassa keeps deleting all my pics.

It’s like a big, nasty cob web and they suck. Lol

That sucks dude. Can I add this blog to my blogroll too?

Omg. Shows how often I check here. I ignored you. Ack! Sorry. Of course you can add this one. :)
