Companion

evolved-companion1 Evolved Novelties make some of my favorite toys. They’re economical, strong, quiet and they come in the coolest metal tins. Evolved recently did an interview with Eden Fantasys, which was excellent in and of itself, but the really neat thing was winning a toy for asking one of their favorite questions. Yay me!

The toy choice was “surprise me” style, in that I had no idea what I was getting until it came in the mail, so I was thrilled to receive the Companion, part of Evolved’s Fusion line.

The Companion is a hard plastic (thereby phthalates free and hypoallergenic) dual ended g-spot vibrator with fifteen different combinations of vibration, escalation and pulsation.

One end of the Companion is straight and smooth while the other hooks in a g-spot stimulating curve with a small, clitoral stimulating bump part way down the shaft.

The Companion is ten inches long with a diameter of one and three eights inches. It runs on 4 AAA batteries and is completely waterproof thanks to a sturdy o-ring to seal the battery compartment. You can use any lube you desire with it and clean up with soap and water, toy cleaner, wipes, an alcohol wipe down or a ten percent bleach solution. Plastic is not considered sterilizable, however, so use a condom if you’re going to share.

Now on to the good stuff.

The Companion isn’t as strong as some of the Evolved toys I’ve tried but it certainly holds it’s own. The g-spot end has three levels of steady vibration, controlled by a touchpad button. The straight end has three levels of pulsating and escalating vibrations, also controlled by a touchpad button. While each end has it’s own motor and pleasure point, vibrations transmit easily throughout the entire shaft – giving you fifteen different combinations of vibration.

The straight end loses a few points for the short insertable length as a result of the control pad. It’s insertable and you can barely feel it but you also can’t use the controls if they’re inserted.

Overall the Companion is a solid, medium vibration toy that is fun to use, fun to look at and full of options.
