So the Devine Playchest is basically so awesome I don’t even know where to start.

I guess I’ll start with the fact that it’s huge. Huge.  HUGE.  Dudes, it’s fucking huge.

The Playchest measures 15″ long by 10″ tall by 8″ wide.  It’s big and deep and very, very roomy inside.  The interior is basically a box with an adjustable divider in the middle that attaches to the sides of the box with velcro.  You can take this divider out and have one large compartment or leave it in to have two narrower compartments.  The divider has two elastic loops and a mesh pouch on one side, the other is plain.

The top of the Playchest is hinged on both sides, opening from the center, train case style.  Each side of the lid has a handle and a faux leather strap slides under the handles, buckling closed at the front with a slider style/old school luggage sort of lock/closure.  A pair of keys, inside a faux leather key holder, is attached by a chain to the handle and can be removed, giving you the ability to lock the case and tuck the keys away.

When open, you can see the tops of the case each have a mesh pouch sewn into them that is open on one side to secure smaller items, making excellent use of what would otherwise be wasted space.

Have I mentioned that this thing is huge?  It’s really nice and deep, allowing even the Benjamin Bond — or any fairly lengthy sextoy of 7 to 9 inches — to stand upright inside and still be able to close the lid without squishing anything.

The lining is sewn in — you can see the stitching — and seems quite secure.  It’s a black, satiny sort of material with a slight sheen to it.  (Probably nylon of some sort but I’m not sure.  It looks nice.)  So far, the lining seems durable; nothing snags on it and a small lube spill wiped up with no problem, no staining.

The interior loops and mesh bag (on the divider) give you a great place for keeping smaller toys, batteries, condoms or lube while larger items are easily laid, stacked or stood upright depending on how you like to organize you stuff.

What you see in the pictures is seventeen toys in the Devine Playchest.  The Xtreme G-spot Bullet, Bad Ass Bullet, Benjamin Bond, Leo, Laya Spot, SaSi, G-ki, Form 6, B curious, Treeze wand, Treeze plug, Nexus Chloe, Kiwi, Oh Mi Bod Freestyle and its dongle, Hello Kitty Vibe, Onye and Little Chroma.  I could easily, depending on their size, fit another ten or fifteen toys in here.  I like to be able to see what I’m reaching for, though, not have things all crowded in, so I’ll probably keep it pretty much as is.

But for actual travel with it?  Oh, hell.  I could take forty toys with me somewhere if I stacked ‘em in tight.

I can honestly say this is my favorite travel case yet.  It’s big yet easy to carry, portable.  It’s hard sided so things have some protection.  It locks — though the lock is very old school and isn’t going to keep out someone who is super determined to get in.  It’s vinyl/faux crocodile so it cleans up very easily with just a wipe of a damp rag.

The only issue i have is with the shiny vinyl.  It had a very vinyl smell when I first got it, rather like an inflatable water toy which was a bit unpleasant.  It has, however, completely faded after two weeks.  It’s also not exactly what I’d have chosen if I’d designed the bag for myself, looks wise.  It’s just a little… shiny.   But, really?  Minor.

The fact that it holds so much, so well and is so very easy to pick up and carry — even just to take it room to room — really makes this case a gem.  From the firm, sturdy handles to the old school look, the roominess to the interior pockets and loops, Devine has outdone themselves — and anyone else — with this fantastic bag.  Sex toy storage has never been quite this awesome before.
