So. Remember last week when I was talking about the Rabbit vibe and how I thought I was the only woman in the world who hadn’t tried one? And how I was getting the opportunity to do so?

Anyhow…
John over at Vibrator.com sent me a Vibratex Rabbit Pearl to try out and I believe I’ve become a convert.
Seriously. I went from thinking they were strange and had too much going on for me to possibly like one to having that knowing little smirk rabbit using women tend to get whenever rabbit vibrators are mentioned.
Anyone who has seen or heard of Sex and the City has heard of the Vibratex Rabbit Pearl. Miranda introduces it to her friends and Charlotte becomes addicted, turning into a recluse who wants only to play with her Rabbit. I can’t say I blame her.
The Rabbit Pearl is described as the "original" rabbit and, while it’s been around for years, it’s still a terrific toy. A classic. A standby.
This toy is seven and a half inches long with a four and three quarter inch insertable length and a one and a half inch diameter. The Rabbit Pearl is a pale, translucent pink with a cluster of shimmering pearls that stimulate the vaginal entrance and a perky, long eared rabbit to excite your clitoris. The shaft twirls, the pearls rotate, the ears flutter and the base of the rabbit vibrates like a jackhammer!
The vibrator takes two C batteries so it’s got plenty – and I mean PLENTY – of power. The first time I picked it up and turned it on I dropped the damn thing. I simply wasn’t expecting vibrations that strong.
The wired, hand held controller has two sliders; one to control the rotation of the shaft and beads and the other to control the vibrations of the rabbit. You can easily choose the sensation that feels best – or allow your partner to do so!
I really always thought a rabbit vibe would be too much for me; too much going on at once, too much direct stimulation, too much to think about when all I wanted was to get off. I was wrong. It is a lot going on at once and it is a very intense bunch of sensations but the ability to control it all made it fun and enjoyable instead of overwhelming.
My vagina is a little shallow so I had to do some maneuvering to get things lined up right but once I did it was unbelievable. The floppy ears on the rabbit flutter and wiggle with a fairly light touch on the clitoris that is easily intensified by turning up the power or using a bit of pressure instead of letting the rabbit simply rest on the clitoris. The rotating shaft is just flexible enough to get decent g spot stimulation out of it at the right angle. With everything going at once and angled just right my eyes rolled back in my head, my body bowed like a willow tree and the noises I made had never been heard before. (Taylor THOROUGHLY enjoyed using this toy on me)
The Vibratex Rabbit Pearl is an elastomer toy – which means you can use either water based or silicone lube. Elastomer is a porous material; less so than jelly or skin-like toys but more so than silicone. It can be easily cleaned with toy cleaner or antibacterial soap and water but it cannot be sterilized – so condoms should be used if you intend to share the toy. Sharing toys is great but sharing bacteria? Not so much.
I was definitely pleasantly surprised by this rabbit. It’s plenty powerful enough to satisfy even those who need major vibrations and adjustable enough to not overwhelm the sensitive. It’s not overly thick or long and the batteries have held up VERY well.
The best part, though? It’s amazingly quite!
Everything I’ve read about rabbit vibes has given me the impression that they’re loud and obnoxious but this one was less loud than a plug in massager and even quieter than some of my traditional vibes. It’s not silent or anything but it’s way less noisy than I expected it to be. (I’ve embedded a video clip so y’all can hear for yourselves)
