Emigi

Ahhhh, the Emigi.  Another new item from SinFive, created to be sexy, sensual and safe.  This one is a kegel exerciser, one of those insertable devices you wear inside your vagina that makes exercising those pc muscles both easy and fun, almost automatic, with little effort on your part.

Nice, right?  Keeping the pussy in shape is important to all of us for a variety of reasons.  Strong pc muscles help prevent incontinence – which any of us who have had a vaginal birth or have hit our late thirties and beyond have probably experienced a time or two.  That dribble when you sneeze or cough or inability to hold it as long as you used to.  Strong kegel muscles also make sex better – keeping things snug and giving you better control of and ability to orgasm, allowing you to grip a penis, finger or toy more tightly and feel it more intensely.  Not to mention fit pc muscles generally give you stronger orgasms, too.

So, a cute little sex toy that helps you work them out is made of win, just on general principle.

The thing that sets the Emigi apart from many others on the market (like the Smartballs Original, pictured) is the petite size, along with the peanut-like shape.  Because they’re smaller, they tend to be a better fit for most users.  Many have complained of other kegel balls being to large, too long and irritating to the vaginal entrance.  The Emigi inserts fully and sits comfortably, even for those of us with a tipped uterus.  They’re a bit larger than single ball systems like the Teneo Uno, in length, but are slimmer and, unlike single balls, manage to be small enough for comfortable use while still having two rolling internal balls for stimulation of the pc muscles.

Insertion is easy — simply apply a small bit of lube to the matte finished Emigi and insert much like you would an applicatorless tampon.  The attached, soft, flexible WTP removal string is much less irritating to the labia than most retrieval strings and bends to your body, laying along your labia without irritating them.

Once inserted, you can feel the Emigi but not obtrusively.  The inner balls rock and vibrate and shake with your movements and it is this motion that causes your kegels to contract, squeezing around the balls.  You do not have to do this consciously – so long as you are moving, your body does it on it’s own, which is what makes these so awesome.  If you’re not moving around, if you’re just sitting or lying about the house, you can consciously contract around the Emigi, making it easier to pinpoint your pc muscles and work them properly.

For me, I barely notice the Emigi inside me unless I’m moving quite a bit and really get the inner balls working.  Some notice it more, some less.  Regardless, consistent use WILL help strengthen those muscles and, likely, the more often you wear the Emigi, the more you’ll notice it as your muscles get stronger.

I had no issues with feeling like it might fall out but those who are just beginning to use this type of toy may feel nervous.  Just put on a pair of panties and move around your house, getting used to them.  Eventually, you’ll build up to being able to wear them out and about, a secret thrill and excellent way to maintain kegel health.

Do use only water based or silicone based lube with these – no oils!  They are body safe, made of  WTP with an anti microbial agent that means they repel bacteria – which means you can simply wash with soap and water and they’re good to go.

The Emigi, with cord, measures around 6 inches.  The insertable portion is a petite 2.5 inches long with a 1.25 inch diameter.  Packaging is nice and minimal, not really discreet but nicely done, not at all lewd.  I suggest storing in the original packaging or a small drawstring back to keep the lint off of these, as they do tend to pick some up.

The material feels slightly rubbery, rather the same as Smartballs but with a wee bit more squish.

The Emigi is, without a doubt, the most comfortable double ball system I’ve ever used!
