Turning forty this year is freaking me the fuck out! Doesn’t help that my smart assed teenager keeps saying “what, you’re not already forty?”. Hmmph.

Just wait ’til he wants to get his license. I’ll remind him of all the evil, old lady comments as I deny him! Muwahhahaaa.

On a serious note;
Thank you. It’s always nice to be told I look younger than I am and to have someone commiserate with me over the rings.

It feels weird and “unromantic’ to put finances first but… I just can’t see throwing thousands of dollars a year away just to have a piece of paper telling us we’re a couple. The teen is going to be 16 this summer so it’s really only a few more years that he’ll effect my taxes. I’m sure Taylor and i are patient enough to wait. And, by then, we’ll need to get married for the better health care we’re sure to need in our dotage. heh

That is so horrible about the movers. The rings are very pretty.

It isn’t horrible about taxes and not getting married. Master wants to marry me but right now financially it makes more sense to not marry.

I dunno. We got them at a steal on Ebay. They were appraised, after we got them, at four or five times what we paid for them so it’s hard to imagine anyone making them cheaper. They were also made in the 20′s so being antique was half the appeal to me. In fact, they looked amazingly similar to my great grandmothers.

I just keep looking for another set, hoping we come across one at a time when we can afford it!

Oh… and those rings are beautiful! I’m so sorry ass holes stole them :( I’d have been devastated.

Have you thought about finding a custom jeweler and having them make new ones? Might even be cheaper than the original rings.
