Fairy Mini Wand

I have never been a fan of the Hitachi.

I know! Blasphemy.  You should see the looks I get at BDSM events.  Two heads would be more accepted than the statement that I don’t like the Magic Wand.  Fact of the matter is, it’s too strong to me.  It’s too much, it makes me itch, feels irritating rather than pleasurable, is bulky and huge and unwieldy, covers half the vulva and you have two speeds — buzz the clit right off and buzz the clit right off, chew it up and spit it out.

So when I got the chance, thanks to Eden Fantasys, to review the Fairy Mini Wand I hemmed and hawed a bit and finally decided to give it a shot.

The Fairy Mini is smaller than the Hitachi, a mere 10″  in length with a 1.75″ head.  It also has a variable speed dial and that was the main selling point for me.  Choices!  Levels!  A true “low” speed!  No more buzzing my clit right off.

Or so I thought.

Turns out the Fairy Mini, which plugs into the wall with a 4′ cord, by the way, is actually stronger than the Hitachi.

You heard me. Stronger.  Faster.  Buzzier.  Insanely, crazily, buzzily intense.  It hurt my hand on high.  My Rottweiler runs if I so much as pull it out. (He’s afraid of even the most mild, watch battery bullet. No idea why. We have a lot of fun chasing him with a hello kitty pocket rocket…)

Sure, you can adjust the vibrations and the low setting is quite a bit less insane than the highest.  But even on low, I need to use this baby thru my pants to tolerate its strength.

Yes, THRU MY PANTS.  On high?  Forget it.  The Rotty and I will hide together.

I have never felt a vibrator this strong.  And, oddly enough, it’s not all that loud.  It’s not by any means discreet when it comes to noise but for the power it packs, it’s not jackhammer noisy, either.

Good news for all you guys with clits that like a lot of buzz.  Not such good news for me.  I realize, however, that I am an anomaly in this and that the bulk of the vibrator using population is going to love, love, love, want to marry, oh my god love this thing.

So, let’s give you the specs that I haven’t so far, hmm?  It’s made out of plastic and pvc so it can’t be sanitized beyond wiping it down with a soapy cloth or a wipe of some sort.  I’d suggest covering it with a condom if you’re going to share.  It, as mentions, runs on AC power and the cord is only 4′ long so if you’re using it somewhere not near an outlet you’ll need an extension cord of some sort.  It’s pink and white, very feminine looking with a taper all the way down the shaft, making it far less bulky than most massager/wand type vibrators.  It comes with a nice little drawstring pouch that fits the wand easily, including the cord.  The controller is set into the handle of the wand and scrolls/dials, allowing you to raise or lower the vibrations in increments until you find the one that’s right for you.  (Or, at least, the one that won’t buzz your brain right out of your skull)  Lastly, they also make attachments that fit the Fairy Mini so that you can get both clitoral and vaginal stimulation, even anal stimulation,  out of it’s ungodly strength.

The Fairy Mini is just too, too strong for me, even for use as a massager.  My body reacts to strong, buzzy vibrations by itching, damn it.  But, seriously, Hitachi lovers?  You need this thing.  It’s amazing. It’s a beast in disguise.

It is the least fairy-like thing I have ever felt in my entire life.
