Half full/Half empty

So my house is a wreck and I don’t feel like cleaning it.
All I want to do is sleep yet when bed time comes I’m wide awake – and then can’t get up the next morning.
The coffee I’m drinking is absolute crap. (Roundy’s brand. We were broke this week.)
Which reminds me. We’re broke.
And I don’t have a book to read. I ran thru my stash at the rate of about a book a day since Christmas and now, without anything to read, I’m bored out of my skull.

Bah.
Sometimes, life sucks.

Of course there’s always an upside, though.
The kiddo is at my parents for the day so it’s nice to have a day without teenage babble and constant moans of “I’m hungrrryyyy”. (Teens can eat twenty four times a day and still be hungrryyyy, you know)
I don’t have anything that “has” to be done today nor anywhere I “have” to go so I can chill without much guilt. (Sure, I should clean, but Taylor is home. It makes little sense to try to clean around him since it’ll just be messed the first time he looks in the direction of anything clean…. So I’ll clean tomorrow while he’s off working on his bikes.)
I seem to have finally kicked the monkey shit glow worm flu and am suffering from nothing but my normal allergies. (Which get worse in the winter cuz we’ve got three dogs and a cat and eighty nine thousand geese worth of down pillows, comforters and feather beds in the house and no where for the dust, lint, hair and whatnot to go since we can’t open windows. Lots of allergens and no fresh air = a sneezy, itchy eyed puss)
I don’t “have” to go anywhere but I think I”m going to hit the dollar store and see if I can’t pick up a book and some bubble bath.
Because then I can come home, run a steaming hot bath, light ridiculous amounts of candles in the bathroom and soak until I wrinkle like a raisin.
Oh. Yessss. Now THAT sounds worth going out for. (Let’s not forget that my newest item for review for Eden Fantasys is waterproof. Hehehehe)

Yeah.
That sounds like an upside.
Off to the dollar store.

I guess life ain’t so bad after all. :)

    Um…what about the library? :)
Unless you are me and try to keep you r borrowed books for a year, they let you have them for free.

    omg
I fucking knew I forgot something!

*wanders off to find those library books she didn’t return five or so years ago….*

I think my fines would cost more than buying a book.
    Heh.
Of course, once paid, I could have lots and lots and lots and lots of books!
