It’s fucking hot. Eighty degrees and muggy and humid and nasty. The Teen is sleeping. Taylor is sleeping. I know better than to attempt a nap this late in the day so I took a bath. Bad idea. Now I’m even more hot since I’m incapable of taking a cool bath. I have a freaking fan on my desk, blowing right at my head, trying to stop sweating.
There is not much worse than sweating right when you’ve gotten out of the tub and you’re all clean and sweet smelling. I can’t even put lotion on cuz if I do it’ll just slick right off and make me sweat worse.
Meh.
And I refuse to put the air conditioner in in June cuz, if we do, it won’t be turned off until September and I’ll have wasted the entire summer with the windows closed, breathing canned air.
Tomorrow we’re going for a long ass motorcycle ride then to a play party. At this exact moment I’m not in the least bit inspired to play but who knows what tomorrow will bring?
My head hurts cuz my hair is too long and it’s always up and it weighs a ton but it’s too hot and itchy and irritating to leave it down very often.
When I was younger and wore my hair short (very short. shorter than Halle Berry in Catwoman short) I used to wonder what the fuck was wrong with women who grew their hair out only to wear it up all the freaking time.
Now? I get it. I’m one of them. And it irks me. I’d like to cut six inches of it off.
I’ve got some seriously awesome toys coming my way but I’m afraid to say which ones before they’re in my greedy little hands lest I jinx it somehow.
We also got a penis pump a week or so ago. Let me tell you, it scared the shit of me. Taylor’s dick is big enough normally, thank you very much. All pumped up and swollen? It was nearly enough to make me run from it.

My new camera is aggravating the piss out of me. It does not like to focus almost half the time, especially on solid colored items or when I zoom.
I think I need to reread the book that came with it.

As for the camera- does it have digital, or optical zoom? Digital zoom *greatly* reduces image quality. Optical zoom doesn’t. (My camera has both…and I won’t go past the “point of no return”…I mean, “point of digital zoom” because of this. (My old camera only has digital zoom and that sucks).
I’m not sure about the solid colored items.
it’s sultry & smothering here too, if that’s any solace. 10 yr old boy is leaving with his dad any minute now until Monday. My 15 yr old girl is absorbed in a book & waiting on her boyfriend to show up. (She doesn’t go to her dad’s–long story) My ‘inherited-for-the summer 14 yr old Californian daughter’ is trying to find a summer love & obsessing compulsively. lol.
Sunday–We’re ditching the girls to family. My b/f & I are going to a cook-out with his bi-poly-pagan-buddhist-wild-crazy friends. I’m excited & a bit nervous about it–out of 12 people–I’ve only met the host & hostess. I hate being the newbie. Especially after all the stories I’ve heard, geez. Intimidating as all get out! lol. Plus several have had relationships with each other at one time or another or currently. BEING THE NEWB SUCKS.

My hair is in an in-between icky phase. Passed my shoulders, but not quite to my bra-line (if I ever wear one-I’ve gots little ones since I’ve lost so much weight). Anyway, it’s pony-tail season here & too damn hot to flat iron it–so it’s FUZZ CITY. I’m a fixin to bleach it here in a few minutes–the gray is fuckin awfullllll. Damn bad hereditary genes & crazy stress for ummm 16 years or so. LOL.

I’m with you on the long hair bit. Mine is damn near to the middle of my back and I pull it up all the time in the summer. I’m about ready to chop it but Master would damn near disown me if I did.

My mom is a few hours north of you. She keeps bitching about the heat/humidity. Then I tell her I’m in texas, I have no car and I have to walk everywhere so STFU. ;) Plus, I look like crap all the time. Boo. I sweat a lot so I feel your pain.
On the issue of cameras.. I sometimes forget to turn mine off of close-up mode so regular pictures don’t focus well. Don’t know if something like that is happening to you but just thought I’d toss that out there.
