Well, the snow appears to be over for a bit. According to weather bug we won’t be getting any in the next seven days.
Bummer.
Those big old flakes yesterday had me happy as hell.
They were just so purty!
Taylor was enthralled with them, standing out there with this amazed look on his face. (We’d run to the store and they started just as we were coming out)
Though I have to admit it’s nice that Taylor will be relatively safe driving to and from work the next week. (Have I mentioned the bald ass tires on our truck? They’re first on our list of things to do after Christmas)
It’s weird cuz I don’t really go anywhere.
Taylor has the truck all day and I am far too wimpy to walk anywhere but maybe the gas station in this sort of weather.
I’m in a nice, warm house all day and I enjoy the snow more than I can say.
The kid’s been shoveling it – without being asked! Imgaine that! – so I don’t even have to go out and do that.
Makes it much easier to enjoy winter for being pretty, yanno?
I’d probably feel different if I had to trudge off to work in this crap and cold every day.
I just want it to stay white thru Christmas.
Then it can stop.
But, gods, I want a white Christmas!
The kiddo leaves in 9 days for Cali. (Same day as Taylor’s birthday.)
I suppose I ought to start thinking about where his suitcase is, eh?
He’s only going for a short visit. Less than a week. He leaves the 21st and comes home the 26th – so he might be able to get away with just carry on luggage. But with the wedding celebration, plus Christmas, he’ll need some “nice” clothes and I’m worried they’ll get all fucked up and wrinkled in a carry on.
I guess I should call his Dad and find out what he’d prefer…
Gods, it’s going to be weird to have him gone.
Nice, in a strange way, but weird.
It’ll give me a glimpse of Christmases to come, I guess.
But I’ll miss him horribly!
Oh well.
I keep telling myself it’s only 5 days and his dad deserves to have him over the holidays once in awhile, too.
So…
Now that I’ve babbled your ears off I’m gonna go have another cup of coffee and do my Pilates.
Any of you ever done Pilates?
Weird, man. It seems very easy… until you’ve done it two or three days and wake up with that “oh my god my abs!” feeling.
I love it.
20 minutes and I feel so much more flexible when I finish. (I’m not. But if I can manage to keep it up I eventually WILL be. Taylor ought to like that. Heh)
See y’all later!

I drink a lot of coffee, ride a motorcycle, have an 18 year old son and a decade long relationship that began in a chat room.

I love it and wish i’d make the time to do it more cuz it helps my back and it works so fast. Nothing else I’ve ever done strengthens muscled in a way I can measure by how much easier the movements get. Ok, now I have to go do it. :P
