Yes, I know it’s supposed to be dog eat dog. Shush.
Anyhow.
We were doing all the Christmas decorations and stuff today; tree, wreaths, lights, garlands around the balcony rail. All the fun stuff. And I was, of course, snapping pictures.
And it hit me.
Remember that cute little rott puppy we had running around last Christmas?
Yeah, this one.
You remember. The one who was barely bigger than the Beagle?
What a difference a year makes.
I can barely remember when he was small, much less smaller than Dazey!
Which, of course, is why we had to get this wee thing — though she’s almost as big as Dazey now! Skinnier, but not a tiny puppy anymore. :(
Which, of course, makes me want another puppy.
But then I remember the puddles on the floor and the lack of space and…
Yeah. No.
Off to put boxes and bins away and settle down to look at Christmas tree lights whilst sipping egg nog coffee.
The weekend went too fast!

So right next to my desk, where there’s usually only a dehlia protesting the meanness that is Master, there’s a Christmas tree, fully decorated. And I’m strangely attracted to it.
There’s this weird softness.
And add to that this sudden expressive desire the birds have to be on my desk. That is compounded by M’s need to be near me.
I’m in heaven this year. Seriously.
