It’s the Freakin’ Weekend baby…

December 14th, 2007 | by Carrie Ann

…I’m about to have me some fun!
(Or relax. Which is fun too! :) )

So it’s only nine something and Taylor is home already! And off for the weekend!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

We’ve got a Christmas open house to go to tomorrow but I think the rest of the weekend we’re doin’ nothing but chillin’ out and enjoying some alone time.

Cool thing is… The house is STILL clean so as long as I continue to clean up after us thru the days I won’t have any major mess to worry about. I think they only “chore” type thing I have to do all weekend is grocery shop. And that’s not so bad… yanno?

I can’t believe Christmas is only eleven days away! Seven ’til Taylor’s birthday, ten ’til mine. Colin leaves in seven days.
It’s all coming up so fast!

We haven’t even started shopping. LOLOL.
I never shop before December 20. Ever. Usually it’s the 23rd. I LIKE doing all my shopping in one day, right before Christmas.
I get far less stressed that way and am usually actually happy and all in the spirit and stuff.

I’m totally incapable of shopping all early. It would feel bland and icky to me to have all my gifts purchased by October or some shit. And I refuse to hit the stores repeatedly in December, refuse to deal numerous times with the holiday crowds and crabby clerks.

So last minute it is!
Luckily Taylor doesn’t mind doing it that way, either.

So…
now we just need to figure out a day when we can both go and spend five or six hours cruisin’ the stores!
I’m actually hoping he has a short day next Friday – or even the day off, as it’s his birthday – and we could do it then.
Take the kid to the airport, see him off, shop, have lunch, go home and celebrate with a nummy cake and some nookie…
heh.

Alright. Enough babbling. My cup is empty.

xoxo

One year I managed to do all my Christmas shopping sitting infront of my computer. This year, about 75%. Really, it’s the only way anyone will get anything from me. I don’t plan ahead and if I spent too much time in stores around the holidays you’d start seeing headlines like “North Dakota woman kills seven with a blinky-nosed raindeer lawn ornament.” My Christmas spirit is very delicate and being around all that commercial x-mas nonsense and crazy shopping people destroys it very quickly.
