Jimmyjane Form 2
I’ve been procrastinating on this review for, hell, I don’t know, a couple of months. I’m just sort of stumped as to what to say.
The Jimmyjane Form 2 is just sort of… eh… for me.
I like it. I don’t dislike it. But it’s not spectacular and I wanted it to be.
See? I’m sitting here thinking I should put this off for awhile, not review it while I’m feeling flu-y and sick, like it’ll become more spectacular and the review will come more easily if I just wait a bit. Unfortunately, I’ve been feeling the same way even when I’m not flu-y and miserable so the chances of this are slim to none. Soooo, let’s get on with it, eh?
The Form 2 is meant to be a clitoral stimulator though, like all vibrators, it can be used on just about any area a vibrator would feel good to you. Just don’t try to stick it up your butt – it has no flared base and it would be quite awkward.
The entire Form 2 is all of 3 inches long, 2 inches across and 1.5 inches wide. It’s a wee little thing, easily fitting into the palm of the hand.
It is rechargeable, with a magnetic charger that plugs into the wall, the Form 2 fitting, metal base to metal prongs in the charger, into a scooped out indentation. The charger is white plastic with Jimmyjane written across the front of it. The chargers for the Form 2 and Form 3 and eventually the Form 4 are all interchangeable – though you get a new one with each.
Jimmyjane recommends charging the Form 2 for 8 hours when you first get it then replacing it on its charger after each use. Be sure you have it positioned properly and that it won’t get nudged during charging! There is a little LED light between the buttons and if the light isn’t on, it isn’t charging at all. The battery cannot be overcharged and this ensure it is always fully charged and at its peak level of performance when you want to use it. Unlike the Form 6, however, the Form 2 charger does not have a cover – so leaving it sit out in the charger means it’s in full view and will be covered with dust when you next want to use it.
Each full charge gives you hours of play – at minimum 2, maximum probably around 4, though who uses a vibe for 4 full hours anyhow? It’s long enough to have your fun, even if you like to play leisurely. If you don’t return it to its base between uses, expect 2 hours or so out of the battery and to eventually find it in the drawer, too dead to use and needing a full 8 hours on the charging base.
I? Suggest keeping it on the base or making sure you recharge after every few uses. You can always tell how much charge is left when you take it off the base, which is nice, since there are flashing lights that quickly blink to tell you how much battery is remaining.
The Form 2 itself looks a lot like a very large tooth. Like a archeological find from the future, the tooth of the Jimmyjaneasuarus! It has two “ears”, each just a bit over an inch long, connected seamlessly to the base. (Though there is a seam that runs along the outter edge of the entire toy, starting at the base, running up the side, over the ear, down the ear, up the other ear and down to the base. It’s not really noticeable during use, can barely be felt by a finger, definitely not obtrusive unless you’re uber sensitive.)
When turned on, vibrations are centered in the middle of the toy, radiating out from the base of the ears to the tips and from the base of the ears to the base of the toy, where they are mildest. Initially turning it on has vibrations going at a steady pattern throughout the toy. There is a plus and a minus button, easily pressed, on the front of the toy. The plus button turns it on and ramps up the vibrations from a low rumble to a high throb in five incriments. These are fairly rumbly, deep vibrations, especially for such a small toy, though they are also at the surface of the toy, which can give them a buzzy feeling, even though they’re really not. It’s odd but it feels pretty darn good in use. A good middle ground for those that dislike either extreme.
Under the plus and minus buttons is a “wave” button. This changes the vibrations from steady to patterns. The first press takes you to a very interesting intermittent pulsing pattern. It’s steadily vibrating with the occasional pulse from one ear or the other. Excellent for building up to orgasm, for teasing, and is one of the most pleasing patterns I’ve experienced in a vibrator to date. The second press is a steady, medium pulsing from both ears and body at the same time. It’s very rhythmic. The third press is a faster pulsing, again throughout the entire toy, again very rhythmic. The fourth press takes you back to steady vibes. Pressing the plus or minus button at any time changes the intensity of the vibrations – so you can have a super high intermittent pulse, then change to fast steady pulse at a lower speed or… whatever floats your boat, ya know?
There is also a “secret” pattern, called anarchy mode. Jimmyjane didn’t tell anyone for a few months how to activate this and I’ve yet to hear of anyone figuring it out on their own. Basically, you press + – + – + – very rapidly (like a cheat code on a video game!) and you enter anarchy mode. Anarchy mode is weird! It cycles thru the different patterns so it goes, on its own, from steady vibes to fast pulsing to intermittent pulsing to slow pulsing to…
You get the picture. It’s fun and a neat idea but doesn’t do much for me other than make me frustrated. Just when I settle in to a mode it changes and my orgasm flutters away. It is phenomenal if you like that sort of teasing, though! Masochists into orgasm denial and delay may love it! You can exit anarchy mode by pressing the wavey button.
One of the neat things about the Form 2 is that when you shut it off, by pressing and holding the minus button, it turns on next time in the mode you left last – so if you have a favorite mode and speed, it’ll always start on that one for you, if you shut it off on that one. Way cool.
Like all silicone sex toys, you should really only use water or oil based lubes with this to be safe. Clean it with soap and water. Jimmyjane does not recommend anything else. (I’ve bleached mine, though. I mean, really. It’s silicone. No reason you shouldn’t be able to wipe it down with a 10% solution – just don’t say I told you to cuz I are not responsible for your choices!)
I think my main issues with the Form 2 come from the fact that it just doesn’t fit me well. The ears, though slightly flexible, are mostly firm, as is the whole toy. I can’t really pinch them together or spread them apart well without activating the flaw in the Form 2 (which they all seem to have) and, as they are, they just don’t hit my clit right. I’ve tried it sideways, up and down, using the base, using the body and while I get off each time, it seems like I have to think about it too much every time, have to adjust too often.
I truly love the way it feels on the first, random pattern if I can get it adjusted right but I do not like having to work so hard to do so and worrying that if I move, nudge, bump or rub on it it won’t be lined up properly anymore.
The flaw, in case you haven’t read other reviews yet, is not super noticeable or frequently occurring in mine but it is there. Occasionally, when pressure is put upon it or you position it oddly, the vibrations move out of the ears and into the base in a way that feels like it is stalling. You have to readjust to get it going right again and that can be distracting. Once you’ve used it for awhile, though, you DO figure out how to best use it and have that happen very, very rarely. For some, though, it’s deal breaker.
The Form 2 is strong, quite a bit stronger than I expected and fairly quiet. You cannot hear it thru a closed door, especially if there is also some background noise.
I prefer to use it solo. With a partner, the flaw happens more often and it just doesn’t fit right, for me, between two bodies, no matter how I adjust or what position we are in.
Overall, I like it but don’t love it. I prefer the Form 6. I am glad I got it but don’t know that it would be in the top five luxury vibes I would recommend.

Form 2 would be absolutely perfect if it weren’t for the impossible-not-to-trigger glitch. Nice review.
