Are you getting tired of hearing about my showers yet? This is what happens when you can’t have sex or masturbate for 6 weeks. You become obsessed with shower gel and massage oil and fancy lotions and potions.
Which, you know, is only made worse by the fact that I started out obsessed.
Taylor rolls his eyes every time he goes in the bathroom and ever time I come home from the store. I have that much bath and body stuff.
What? I’m considering therapy. Shut up.
Anyhow, my latest acquisition is some Mint Tree Luxury Bathing Gel from the KamaSutra folks. You know… honey dust, oil of love, pleasure balm. Those folks. Good stuff, all of it.
The Mint Tree gel definitely measures up to their standard of quality.
It comes in a large, 18 oz bottle with a pump top. (Different than what the Eden Fantasys site shows, so it must be a newish design) The bottle is clear, the gel a jolly rancher apple green. Though the bottle does say Kama Sutra on it, there are no pictures or obvious designs that make it seem like an adult product so leaving it in the shower shouldn’t embarrass anyone.
The pump works well, dispensing a nice dollop. I tend to use two or three pumps on a bath scrunchie thing and I get a lot – LOT – of lather. Enough to lather my entire body.
The gel is transparent, not creamy, and of medium consistency. It contains typical shower gel ingredients like water, sodium lauryl and laureth sulfate, lauramide DEA, and fragrance but it also contains quite a few natural ingredients. The list of those includes sweet almond, carrot, avocado, olive, jojoba, safflower, coconut, sunflower, sesame and wheat germ oils. You’d think it would be greasy or something, hey? It’s not. It does have parabens and glycerin, though, so if you’re sensitive to those things, you may want to pass on this. If not, if you can use normal bath and shower gels without issue, it’s really quite wonderful.
The scent is pure mint but not overwhelming. It’s strong but not enough to make your eyes water. It reminds me a lot of Dr Bronners peppermint soap only more mild. It’s definitely a lively scent and works super well for a morning shower, waking up both your skin and your senses. Very invigorating.
It also tingles. Not painfully or overly much. Definitely not as much as the aforementioned Dr. Bronners. But it, again, is invigorating. It makes you feel all tingly and awake and alert and stimulated. Excellent for a partner shower as you can tingle each others bits in more ways than one.
The lather rinses cleanly and leaves your skin soft and lightly scented with no residue and no dried out feeling like some gels do. Probably due to all the natural oils in it.
This is definitely a bath and body product I’ll be ordering again and again!
So as to be cool with the new FTC guidelines, I’ll mention that this was a free product, given in exchange for my honest opinion, by the always awesome Eden Fantasys folks.

I recently got to review the Tentacle Jr for Eden Fantasys – another fucking awesome and fantasy inducing dildo from Whipspider Rubberworks. The review isn’t live yet but I wanted to share the pictures, at least. The Jr is similar to the original Tentacle only smaller, slimmer, with a less extreme hook to it, a [...]
