Lelo Siri

siriWhat?  You’re somehow surprised I ordered a Siri as soon as they came out?  Pffft.  Of course I did.  I haz Lelo addiction and there is no 12 step program for it!

The Siri is Lelo’s newest clitoral stimulator, said to be their strongest and quietest yet.

Is it?

Yes, I do believe it is.  It’s definitely very quiet, but all Lelo toys are.  (In fact, most toys in general are quiet these days. I often find myself wanting to say something is loud or not as quiet as I expected but then I compare it to my first few vibes and realize the stuff they make now is eleventy billion times more quiet and I have no reason to complain.  If you can’t hear it thru a closed door, it’s quiet, man.)

Moving right along…  (I seem to be in a babbling mood this evening)

The Siri is quiet – quiet enough that you can’t really hear it from 6 feet away so you’re definitely not going to hear it thru a door or from another room.

And it is quite a bit stronger than Lelo’s other clitoral stimulators, the Lily and Nea, but it’s not a powerhouse.  It’s never going to rival the hitachi.  It’s about the same strength as the Jimmyjane Form 2 or the Lelo Mona, about the same as a decent bullet.  If I’m honest, it probably won’t be enough for those who need max power to get off.  It will be enough for *most* of us.

So, let’s start at the beginning, shall we?  The packaging.

I am highly, highly disappointed in Lelo’s new packaging.  The Mona and Ina have the same new style packaging as the Siri and I haven’t liked any of it.

It starts out okay.  Nice, color coordinated to the toy outer box.  Nice, heavy black cardboard inner box with Lelo printed tastefully across the top.  Same lift off cover that makes it feel like you’re opening a gift.  But inside?  Meh.  No more raised form shaped to hold your toy.  They now put the vibrators in a cardboard and plastic blister pack that can be hung from the wall for display.  It’s hideous and hard to open and, once you’ve opened it, you can’t reuse it for storage.  So now you’re left with the nice cardboard box where everything rattles around, banging together.  It feels less luxurious to me, less organized and is definitely less aesthetically pleasing.

But that’s just me.  You may like the new style better.

Underneath the blister pack you find the typical Lelo accessories; user manual in multiple languages, warranty card (for a one year free replacement if your Siri has issues in the first year), 10 year quality guarantee (which allows you to replace your Siri at a 50% savings if it dies within ten years), a wall charger and a satiny storage bag sized to perfectly fit the Siri.

The Siri comes charged already but I learned my lesson with the Nea - I charge all my rechargeable toys first anyhow, just to be sure they’re running at peak performance when I first use them.  You simply plug the jack of the wall charger into the port on the back of the Siri, the plug end into the wall and wait patiently for a few hours.  The Siri’s buttons will blink while it is charging, burn steadily when it is done.  A two hour charge gives you 4 hours of play time.

While we’re waiting for Siri to charge, let’s inspect it, shall we?

Siri is ABS plastic and silicone.  The main part of the body, where the controls are and where your hand rests, is plastic.  The tip, the end that provides vibration and stimulation, is silicone.  Like all Lelo silicone, it  is velvety and matte, uber soft and silky to the touch, almost like dragging your finger across the softest baby skin.

Siri is ergonomically shaped to fit well in your hand, rather like a small computer mouse.  It is completely firm, with no flex, bend, give, flop, nothing. It doesn’t move, unless you’re moving it in circles or up and down.  It’s body is firm, firm plastic, the silicone just a thin layer at the tip.   The top curves slightly and the underside has a small bulge that gives broad stimulation to the clit and labia in use.  This is quite a bit unlike the Lily or Nea, which are both smaller and more pointed, giving more pinpoint stimulation.

Siri is approximately 4 inches long by 2 inches wide.  (I didn’t measure diameter because it is not meant to be inserted. This is a surface stimulator – think nipples, clit, anus, nose or toes but not vagina or rectum!) It’s palm sized – larger than a bullet, smaller than a pocket rocket.

Controls are located at the top of the toy and are the new style, ala Mona and Ina, with four buttons for controlling on/off , vibrational levels and patterns.  Horizontally, you have a plus and a minus button.  A press to the plus button turns the Siri on. Continued presses bump up the vibrational levels from a mild, low rumble to a fast, deep, steady vroom.  There are nine levels in all.  I’ve found it’s easier to count them backwards, starting at high and decreasing until it’s as low as it will go. Going from low to high, it’s harder to distinguish between the few highest levels.

Vertically, you have arrows; one for up, one for down.  A press to the upper arrow starts vibrational patterns.  The first is a pulsation, medium and regular.  The second is a faster, regular pulsing.  The third press to the up arrow is a ramping or escalating pattern.  It starts at a low vibration and escalates to a higher, faster one, stops, then repeats.  The fourth press is an up/down escalation.  It starts low and slow, amps  up to stronger, then fades down to slow.  It similar to the third only it goes up and down, instead of just up.  The fifth press gives you a mix of the others.  It pulses, it ramps, it fades back down, it pulses some more, fast, fast, slow, ramp, fade, slow, fast, fast, slow, ramp….  something like that.  It’s very, very hard to describe!  It also makes a little beeping noise, a digital sound, on this pattern that reminds me of R2D2.

Each pattern’s intensity can be controlled by using the plus and minus buttons so there are a LOT of options.  Strong pulsing, medium pulsing, super low robot vibrating, super fast escalating…  whatever works for ya!  Pressing the down arrow scrolls you back down thru the patterns and back to steady vibes.  You can turn the Siri off at any time by pressing and holding the minus button for a few seconds.

I do like the functionality of these controls better than those on the Nea and Lily but I dislike their look a little and their placement.  I do occasionally bump them while in use. Not often, but it’s happened.

You can lock your Siri for storage or travel by pressing the plus and minus button simultaneously for a few seconds.  While locked, you cannot turn it on by bumping the toy and have to press both buttons at the same time to turn it back on.  Buttons – which are silicone and soft to the touch – are backlit white during use and charging.  The white light turns red when the charge is low, giving you ample warning that it’s time to juice Siri up before using again.

Ok. Now this baby is charged up and we know what it looks like and how to work the buttons.  Here comes the important part.

How does it feel?

Well.  Let me tell you, it feels pretty spectacular.

One of the biggest complaints with older Lelo vibes were the buzzy vibrations that were only moderate in strength.  The Siri definitely breaks that mold.  As mentioned, it’s quite a bit stronger than past models from Lelo.  It’s also far, far, far less buzzy and high frequency.  The vibrations are low pitched, rumble-y and deep.  Everyone likes something different.  To some, deep vibrations feel less intense; they like high, fast, surface vibes.  For some of us, though, the deep, low frequency vibes the Siri puts out are going to be perfect.  They have that thuddy feel, like they can really penetrate the skin rather than skimming across the surface.  The fact that they’re coming thru a layer of silicone really helps.

The silicone, being matte, gives a very, very nice drag against the skin.  Think of the way flesh on flesh feels as opposed to plastic on flesh.  That’s the difference.  If you like a completely smooth toy, this might be a con but, since I do not, it’s a definite pro!  A bit of water based lube can definitely reduce the drag (no silicone since it can react badly!) but I tend to use very little or none, simply because I like the feel of a slight tug as I rub and nudge and circle my clitoris with the Siri.

Vibrations are centered in the colored, silicone area.  They can be felt in the entire toy but are focused in the tip and the bulged underside.  The tip will work best if you want more pinpoint stimulation, as it’s a tapered oval tip.  If you like a broader surface, you’ll want to use the underside, with it’s little bulge that presses into the clit nicely, diffusing the vibes a bit.

All in all, I’m favorably impressed with the Siri.  I like the deep and strong vibrations.  I like the blunted, rounder shape of it and the broader vibrational surface.  As much as I love the Nea, I love the Siri more.  It’s simply more of all the good things and none of the bad.  (The only thing I like better about Nea is her looks. She really is a stunner, where the Siri looks more utilitarian)

Siri is not a waterproof nor even water resistant sex toy.  In fact, its port is fully open and its buttons should not get overly wet.  I suggest cleaning with a damp, soapy cloth, rinsing with a clean damp cloth and letting air dry.  Or toy wipes or spray on just the underside and the silicone.  If you do get water in the port, blow it out gently with pursed lips.  Be careful with lube – you don’t want to use half a bottle and soak the Siri.  It could get in the buttons and port and it’ll make it far too slippery to manage.  Siri’s flying around might make someone who doesn’t have one and snags yours out of the air quite happy but it won’t make you happy!

I store my Siri in my Original Toi Bocks with all my Lelo stuff.  You can, of course, use the box it came in or the drawstring bag or tuck it in a drawer.  Just keep it away from jelly and rubber type toys so they don’t melt upon it when they go bad. If you have to store it with other toys, make sure they are non porous; plastic, glass, wood, metal, silicone.

I got my Siri at EdenFantasys, where they have it in all three colors – purple, red and pink.

I really wanted this as soon as it came out. I am a little hesitant. So I have a question for you. I know you have to own a Sasi and I am pretty sure I read a review on it right? If not forgive my forgetful memory, but anywho!!! How would you compare it to that? I got my Sasi today and granted it is going to take some time to get used to it, but right now I am kind of thinking, WOW! I wasted too much on this one! So how would you compare it? Is it better? Are the vibrations any better? Are the functions easier to use on the Siri compared to the Sasi? Just curious because I have been on this kick with trying all these luxury vibes to find that they really haven’t been any better. :( I hope the Siri is different. :)

WAY stronger and better than Sasi. Sasi is a fun tease but this is a regular vibe, in an ergonomic shape. No crazy weirdness. :)

A couple thoughts on this. I actually like that the blister packs are fully sealed. It reassures me. The plastic covers that Lelo used to use didn’t offer this. Opening still sucks, though.

I love that this is rumblyer than any other lelo vibe but it’s still not as strong as advertised/reviewed.

I really want one of these! In fact, I’ll just have one of everything pictured above. ;)

Maybe it will break and electrocute your roast beef curtains, and you’ll lose all sensation… and by some strange medical mystery, your ability to type. The world would be a better place

What the heck is wrong with the poster above?

  8. Sex, Lies & Law

Okay. I somehow only saw this now. But woa. Your vibrator killed my dog is maybe my new favorite thing ever.

My favorite is, hands down “witter hates you, just like everyone else. They only pretend cuz they’re afraid you might come over and eat all their dirty towels and lick their windows. Don’t disguise the fact that you like to eat Taylor’s poop poop a doop, VD queen! <3"

Window licking, poop eating AND dirty towel eating, all in one sentence (of a sort)? Makes me laugh so hard I just about cry. And then my family looks at me like I'm nuts. Which makes me laugh harder, knowing what boxxy would say!

Ahaha, that has to be one of the funniest things I’ve read in awhile. I commend your amused response to it too, a lot of people would have shot straight into wtf and then to pissed-off.

    I envy your box-o-lelo, btw.
