More on Hoarding…

So…
okay…
Call me petty and selfish but I swear to GOD I’m going to start hiding the portions of things that I expect to get, regardless of what it is.
I bought a pound of potato salad today because I had a craving for sammiches on kaiser rolls and potato salad.
I got two TEASPOONS of the potato salad and when I went back for more it was gone.

I just don’t get it.
When I go to make myself a plate of something I look at the whole amount of food there is, divide by four since there are four of us, and take a fourth of it.
For example…
The potato salad. I know by looking at it that I should get about half a cup of it. I only take two teaspoons but I figure I can have more later since we ate so early I know we’ll all be hungry again later.
Now… had I taken the full half cup… I’d have realized, later, that I’d already had my share and maybe someone else hadn’t and I wouldn’t take any more. At least not without asking if anyone else wanted any more.
But no….
Everyone else just loads their plate without regard to the fact that they might be taking someone else’s share.
Grrrr.
Just fucking grrrr.

I try not to make too much of anything because no one likes leftovers. I try to make or buy just the right amount to feed us all. Normal portion sizes or a bit larger. And it irks me to NO end when I don’t get my share.

Fucking hell…
Would I BUY it or MAKE it if I didn’t want to eat my share of it?????????????
And since I am the one who does all the shopping and all the fucking cooking don’t I deserve to at least get to EAT some of what I buy or make?

Damn it…
I REALLY had a taste for that fucking potato salad.
