So I meant to write a couple of meaningful posts this week.  That is so not happening.

First, Taylor distracted me with his post. (I’ve been in some weird, gooey la-la land ever since I read the words  “to so completely nail her feet to my floor”.  Odd, eh?)  Then I’ve been distracted by the fact that we’re going for our annual mud/quicksand fetish video shoot this weekend.

Don’t ask me to explain it. I really don’t think I can. It’s a very specific sort of fetish that, it seems, not many have. There’s a forum for it – Deepsinking.org – and a few production companies who make movies – including Mud Puddle Visuals and Pamela Rose Productions (who I work for) – but that seems to be about it.

I guess it’s a smaller part of the messy girls/mudwrestling/wet and messy fetish.

Basically we do little “skits” that end up with us jumping/falling/being shoved into quicksand, peat bogs, mud puddles and clay pits.

It’s not my fetish though I have to say I have a good time doing it.  I can’t act worth a damn but, gods, the stuff our producer comes up with is usually soooo fun. Funny. Corny. Very black and white, damsel in distress, old movie-ish. His take on horror films or action films, incorporating mud, of course.

It’s a blast to be the center of attention for fifteen minutes or so at a time. I love the physical challenge of it. (It’s SO not easy to actually sink in a peat bog or clay pit.) And it’s always, always a fun weekend with friends where we can all let loose and act silly.

Anyhow…

My focus has been on that since I have to get packed and ready for the weekend. Trying to figure out what to bring and how to pack it all into motorcycle saddlebags.  Shoes and costumes and regular clothes and bathrobes and make up and hair stuff and all Taylor’s stuff and…

Yeah. It’s not nearly as bad as packing up a whole house (and I am SO glad I’m not kaya at the moment. I’d probably end up in a padded room)  but it’s still at the top of my mind, not letting me think about anything else.

Plus there’s the perpetual worry about looking good and knowing I’m going to look fat and wondering if the dark circles under my eyes will show and how many more wrinkles will be obvious this year.

Poo.

This is my fifth year doing this and it really never gets any less tension inducing. One things for sure, though. I am so getting a real bed this year. Out of five years I’ve only ever gotten to sleep in a real bed, with Taylor, once.  Taylor is getting too sore with his bad hip and shoulder to be sleeping on the ground or on a too small couch and we’re too fat to fit in a childs twin bed.  I’m actually doing this for free this year (two years ago we had a twit come who totally fucked up the entire weekend by being a pretty, pretty princess and I promised Robert I’d give him a free shoot to make up for all the lost footage. I adore Robert and Pam and wanted to do something nice – hence the free shoot this weekend) so I should at least get a bed. Lol.

Anyhow…

Not much else to jabber about so I”m gonna entertain you with some muddy pictures.

Bondage and mud?  Oh, no, please, please don’t pull me in that pit!

God damn it. In I go.
