So…
Life is life, right?
Ups and downs and everything in between.
Life here lately is good. Lots of love, lots of time with Taylor and the Teen – who has been about as good as any teen ever is. Lots of time spent with a couple of friends in a pretty neat chat room – which is cool cuz I’m not much for the phone and it’s great to talk almost daily. The monthly party is this weekend and we’ll be surrounded by lots of good folks.
All good, right?
Yeah. Except that we’re broker than hell.
Taylor started a new job thru a different branch of his agency and, while it’s steady, the hours are few.
I’m not complaining cuz it’s a way to get his foot in the door. It looks like soon he’ll be bumped up to the next slot which means some extra hours. It even looks like he might get hired on there permanently. So staying there and dealing with the hours is exactly what we need to do. Suffering some in order to, eventually, get ahead.
I get that and I agree with it. It’s our best option right now.
Unfortunately…
It’s also leaving us just fucking fucked for money.
With no car it’s pretty hard for me to just pop out and get a job. I’ve applied at most of the retail places nearby but, yanno, I have next to no retail experience and what I do have is twenty years ago. And most places want to hire young kids they can pay squat. I’ve looked into doing homecare but ya need a car and insurance. Because I did homecare for Sandi and that’s my most recent medical experience it’s hard to get in doing anything else – fuck the fact that I have more than a decade of experience in ER and cardiac and critical care and whatnot. Gah.
So…
Yeah….
Life, while good, is stressful to the max.
And it’s making it kinda hard to find anything to blog about.
Taylor and I are seriously considering putting up some “lifestyle” type video clips on a site that sells them for you. It would mean extra cash but we also don’t have a damned camcorder to do quality stuff. That means we’d have to use our camera video function for awhile which is pretty crappy quality which means we’d likely not sell much.
Rock. Hardplace.
Can you say it?
Meh.
Anyone want to give me two grand so I can catch up on bills and buy a cheap video recorder?
No, really…
I just know the money fairy wants to come visit.
Maybe the Easter Bunny.
I can feel it in the air.
Helllooooooooooooo?
Money fairy? Mr. Bunny?
Where are you????????????????
Lol.
Okay. Seriously. That’s my honest, blunt and rather depressing update for the week.
We’ll see some of ya this weekend and I can’t wait.
The rest of ya…
Talk with ya next week!
And if the Easter Bunny wants to hop on over with some cash and a digicam…
I’ll leave the door open, k?
xoxo

I drink a lot of coffee, ride a motorcycle, have an 18 year old son and a decade long relationship that began in a chat room.
