Patchy Paul II
I am a sucker for Fun Factory toys. Really. A sucker. I love them, pretty much all of them.
It’s the deep vibrations thru that dense, matte silicone that does it for me. When you first turn the toys on and up, the vibes don’t feel like much. Even once you put them to use you don’t get that “holy shit, that’s strong!” feeling. And yet, pressed against a clit or rubbing along a g-spot, they manage, for me, to be exactly right.
That’s what it is. The vibrations, for me, are perfect.
And then there’s the fact that so many of their toys are fun, bright colors in whimsical and silly designs.
Patchy Paul? May just be one of the cutest of all.
Bright green, ringed like a caterpiller, with bulges that are deep yet not obtrusive, noticeable but not over-stimulating. His little head, complete with eyes and, somehow, the impression that he’s smiling up eagerly at you, is tilted for g-spot stimulation. He’s squishy and substantial and just so darned happy!
It makes me feel happy to look at, touch and play with Patchy Paul. He’s a mood lifter!
But on to the serious stuff.
Patchy Paul, like all Fun Factory toys I’ve tried, is made from a matte silicone. This silicone, with it’s velvety feel, tends to drag a bit across the skin, giving a bit of friction that I really enjoy. Glossy silicone is pretty but matte feels ever so much better to me.
The body of this vibe is bulgy and bumpy, yet plush, so it doesn’t feel like it’s tearing up your vagina when you thrust vigorously. I’m a huge fan of subtle textures. Huge.
And the head, with it’s upturned appearance and bulge of a… nose? Do caterpillars have noses? Whatever it is, it feels heavenly against the g-spot. Even though the toy is flexible I had no problems hitting and massaging my g-spot when I thrusted with Paul. I also, thankfully, had no issues with him catching on my pubic bone or otherwise aggravating my pussy, as I often do with exaggerated heads and ridges. Paul manages to hit my spots just right and makes for amazing clit stimulation, as well as g-spot.
Paul runs on two AA batteries and has a dial control. Unlike most dial vibrators, however, Paul’s dial is an eternal dial. You don’t have to turn it right and left to turn it on and off. Instead, you turn it right and it starts at a low hum. Continue turning right and it goes up exponentially until it hits hight. Continue turning right and it lowers, bit by bit, until you’re back at a slow hum and then off. Round and round and round, making it easy to both change the vibrations and to turn it off quickly if you need to.
The dial doesn’t spin freely and is not super easy to spin with one hand but this, for me, is good as it means I also can’t easily nudge it to the wrong vibration speed at the wrong moment. I hate when that happens!
The battery compartment on the Fun Factory G2 toys, which is what Patchy Paul is, can be a bit hard for some. I recorded a video awhile back on how to do it so I’ll just link you there rather than explain it again in depth. Basically, you squeeze the grey areas on the compartment until you hear a click, then the black part lifts off easily. Snap back on and you’re all set, with a good enough seal for the Patch Paul to be water resistant.
Like all silicone toys, Patchy Paul has no taste or smell, can be sanitized by using a mild bleach solution or cleaned normally with soap and water. Use only water based lubes unless you do a patch test first. Paul is 8″ long, 7″ insertable, with a narrowish 1 1/8″ diameter that grows to around 1 3/4″ at the base.
For me, this is a nearly perfect vibe — but I say that about all my Fun Factory vibes because, as I said, the frequency of the vibrations thru that lovely silicone is just… heaven. The fact that Paul is quite quiet is a nice bonus. He’s not silent but his vibrations make a very low hum that is not likely to be noticed unless someone is really, really trying to hear you, especially thru a closed door or covers.
Eden Fantasys has a huge selection of Fun Factory vibes so even if Paul isn’t your ideal sextoy, there are oodles to choose from. Why not take a look?
