Pink!

I’m going to start this review by saying I really need to stop reviewing lubes.  It’s getting to be quite difficult!  When I first went from KY or drug store lubes to the nicer ones, I was amazed and enthralled with the quality of individual lubricants in comparison.  Now? Not so much.  Most have similar ingredients and, to be honest, perform similarly.

Pink is no exception.

Pink is a silicone lube and the only difference between it and other silicone lubes I’ve tried so far is the addition of Vitamin E and Aloe to the typical dimethicone, dimethiconal and cyclomethicone (or other commonly used cyclic silicones in other lubes).

Pink is slick, velvety, long lasting.  It has that typical silicone feeling of almost being greasy but not quite, rather like a smoothing serum for hair.  In fact, I routinely use my silicone lubes in my hair rather than hair product as they’re more pure.

Pink lasts a good long time, though I’ve found it works best for anal, vaginal or toy sex and a bit less well for male masturbation.  I rarely need to reapply for anything but hand jobs.  It feels amazingly slippery but never goopy.  It has no scent and no real taste, though I wouldn’t suggest doing oral after using this; it leaves a funny feeling on the tongue.

The best thing about Pink — and the thing that distinguishes it from other lubes, for me — is the bottle. Frosted clear plastic that looks like glass, it has the word pink across the front and looks quite a bit like a make up remover bottle or hair care product bottle if you don’t look too closely.  It also has a nice, locking pump top with an extra locking piece for security when traveling.  (I’d still tuck it into a ziplock if traveling with it, though, as silicone lubes always seem to escape their bottle just a bit somehow.)

It’s very feminine and obviously designed to appeal to women — which appeals to me!  I like it much better than the bulky black bottles I’ve gotten most silicone lubes in.

Overall, Pink is an excellent, long lasting, good feeling, hypoallergenic lube with additional skin softening ingredients.  I like it quite a bit and will probably buy more when I ever run out of lubricant…

Which, at this rate, will be never.  I HAVE to stop reviewing lube!

If you need a good silicone lube, though, check out Babeland and Pink Lube.  They have it in two sizes and it’s decently priced for a silicone lube — which is always more costly than water based.

Don’t forget you shouldn’t use this with silicone sex toys unless you do a patch test first as silicone lube can adversely react with the silicone in toys!

  1. Most lubes are created pretty equal, I agree. Especially silicone. But, I happen to like Pink and Gun Oil best, because of the Vitamin E and aloe in them. They leave my skin feeling soft, and I just like the way they feel. They also tend to be a little less expensive than other silicone lubes.

I’m still looking for a water-based lube I love. I actually like Pink Water-based very much. We just bought Sliquid, but The Man has it so I haven’t tried it yet. I used to really like Hydrasmooth (which is similar to Liquid Silk), but that’s hard to find now.

  2. Man, the same thing happened to me. I used to be like, “OMG, this lube actually isn’t sticky!” Now I’m like, “Hum…this lube does not do my laundry. Negative five points!”
