I knew, just looking at this plug, that it was going to be awesome.  It’s cute.  It’s silicone.  It has a happy bulge and a wide enough base and even a handy little silicone ring to help with removal.

How could it not be awesome, right?

The Pop Plugs come in three sizes – small, medium and large.  I chose the large, which is not really so large at 3″ long by 1.5″ in diameter.  More of a Goldilocks sized plug — just right!  (I”m not a fan of long anal sex toys.  The shorter the better for me.  I like girth and I like most of the sensations I get from a plug to be fairly shallow.  Deep penetration feels uncomfortable to me)

The Pop plug is made from a matte, plush silicone that feels very velvety to the touch but is still plenty firm enough to easily insert.   It has a tapered little tip the swells out to a bulge, then dips back in.  The flared base tapers back out again almost immediately and is thin enough to be comfortable between the cheeks, yet sturdy enough to work properly to keep you safe.

My ONLY issue with this anal plug is the fact that the shaft tapers out again so fast.  The area where your butt closes around the shaft is tiny, about a half inch long and, for me, it just wasn’t long enough.  Insertion felt great, it was a comfortable stretch, I felt full but not painfully so, it was stimulating…  but it just didn’t want to stay in! There was too little untapered area for my butt to firmly close around, which means the butt stays open a bit, which means things slip out.

Boo.

I do like it, quite a bit.  I like the way it feels.  But I’ve found it’s most effectively used while sitting, while I can keep some pressure on it. Walking around, moving, long term wear and even use during penetrative sex are all kind of out as it tends to turn into a Pop Missile.

Every anatomy is different so your experience may be different.  I give the Pop Plug 3 stars out of 5, would have given it 5 stars if the shaft were double its length.

Use only water based lube since this is silicone.  Clean with soap and warm water under the sink, toy cleaner, a toy wipe, a ten percent bleach solution or even boil it for sanitization.
