When I was longing for Fall? We’re way past that.
Remember when I was enthralled with Winter? When the snow made me smile? Yeah. We’re past that, too.
Wisconsin is stupid and the snow has all but stopped and we’ve had nothing but cold. Biting, stabbing, painful cold and dark.
Until today.
Today we got a taste of Spring.
It won’t last. I know that. We’ll probably have an ice storm in March and snow for Easter. It is Wisconsin, after all.
But for today?
Just for today I’m going to enjoy it completely.
Windows open, a walk in the sunshine, dogs frolicking in puddles, neighborhood kids making noises that have been absent since November.
It’s not Spring yet. But it will be.
“Keep your faith in beautiful things;
in the sun when it is hidden,
in the Spring when it is gone.”
