Stop. Brew. Fill. Sink. Breathe.

That is exactly how my immediate future is looking.

It’s been a hectic day and I am tired and I can’t stop working even though I stopped working three hours ago so I need to consciously STOP.

Go into the kitchen. Brew up a strong, rich cup of Sumatran coffee.  Fill the tub. Toss in a splash of that good cocoa and goji bath foam. Light candles.  Grab my book, sink into the hot, sudsy water, tip my head back and just…  breathe.

I’m going to turn into a prune if I continue to use baths as my main stress relief.

I need to get back into yoga. Learn to meditate. Get some music on my ipod and learn to dance or something…

  2. M and I almost bought a Keurig today. Decided to sleep on it. I told Him He should ask you about it. He won’t, though. Instead, He’ll look it up online, read all the reviews He can find, and make a decision based on that. He’s funny that way.

    • I love my Keurig. I will admit I actually like my Tassimo more – Starbucks makes discs for it and it makes capp and latte and shit, yanno? BUT. I have a hard time getting those discs. I pretty much have to either mail order, go to Target or BB&B. I don’t always have time for that.

With the Keurig, I can get the k-cups at my corner grocery store, walmart, k-mart, target, BB&B, mail order, the mall… basically, anywhere I stop they have them. So it’s more convenient. Plus there is way more variety in the coffee blends. It doesn’t do latte or espresso or any fancy stuff but I guess that is why I have two.

I had the personal size Keurig machine and it sucked. You had to put water in for each cup you wanted – inconvenient – and mine plugged up and blew up after less than 3 months. I now have the Special Edition one http://www.keurig.com/brewers/special-edition-brewing-system and I like it a lot, LOT better. It got better reviews than the Elite so I spent the extra $30. Also? You can use the my k-cup thingy and ground coffee, though I like that less. You get a lot of “sludge” doing that cuz it’s a mesh filter and if you use coarse ground coffee, to get less sludge, you get weak coffee. A lot of folks are fine with it, though. I’m just a fucking snob. If I want sludge I’ll french press, ya know?

The key to using any of them is to use ONLY filtered water and to use it regularly. Friends of ours have the same one I do and because they sometimes go a week without making coffee, it will start to brew half cups on them. I think it’s because the water in the preheater evaporates and it gets confused with itself.

Have I babbled enough? I recommend them. Definitely fill out the warranty/registration info, though. They can be glitchy but Keurig is pretty good about replacing if you get a lemon.
