Sweet Celebrations Box

I am beyond in love with this kit, the Sweet Celebrations Box, from Kama Sutra.  I’ve tried everything in it before so it was nothing really new to me, other than some different scents and flavors, but the combination, along with the faux rose petals and the gorgeous packaging, just made it something really special.

To start, the box is quite large and really, really gorgeous.  Done in shades of pale pink, white, gray and black it’s discreet enough to leave out in the bedroom and no one would think it was anything but a gift box or decorative box.  Even if they picked it up and looked at it and noticed the product description and photos on the back it’s not exactly an embarrassing item – like, say, a 10 inch cherry scented jelly dong would be.

The box has a lift off cover and, inside, all the items are packaged in shredded, brown cardboard string confetti.  This sounds kind of icky but the presentation is really nice. Kind of like Easter basket grass, only not so cheesy and cheap looking.  As soon as you lift off the cover the scent of the Honey Dust and rose petals wafts up to you.  It is strong and very floral scented but, even disliking most florals, I didn’t find it overwhelming or cloying.

Digging thru and removing the confetti, you find a full sized bottle of Kama Sutra Sensual Massage Oil, a full sized bottle of Oil of Love, a full sized bag of Honey Dust and a full sized jar of Body Souffle, as well as a mesh bag of silky faux rose petals and a powder puff prefilled with even more Honey Dust.

Most KamaSutra kits contain smaller sizes of their products so getting full sizes makes this truly worth what you spend.

The Sensual Massage Oil comes in the Pleasure Garden scent and is an 8 oz bottle.  Again, the product is discreet and you could easily leave the plain bottle, imprinted only with the product name and scent and the company logo, out in the open and the worst anyone would think of you is that you enjoy romantic massages.

The bottle has a click up cap and is pretty much leak free.  You may get some oil that drips down the side of the bottle as you squeeze it out but I haven’t had issues with it leaking if I tip it over if the cap is closed.

The oil itself is luxurious, not too heavy, not too light and smells like a romantic victorian rose garden.  It is made from mostly natural oils with a few cosmetic grade ingredients and essential oils of rose, jasmine, lavender and sandalwood.  It’s heady and rich and may be a bit much for sensitive noses, but we enjoy it a lot.  The sandalwood softens the rose, the jasmine gives a bit of balance and, to be honest, I don’t detect any lavender scent at all.  It glides on easily, providing a gorgeous reduction in friction that lasts a long, long time while still allowing your hands to really work and knead at the flesh, to glide but not slip.  It’s not greasy, just lightly oily.  After a few hours, it completely sinks in and leaves you feeling soft and slightly scented so you shouldn’t need to shower after using this unless you really dislike the feel of oils on your skin.

You can also add a few drops to the bath for soft, scented skin and a sense of romance and seduction as you bathe.

The Oil  of Love comes in Vanilla Creme flavor and smells and tastes, to me, like vanilla sugar.  This is a glycerin based oil, not really an oil at all, so you’ll want to be careful with using it around the vagina if you have issues with glycerin.

The bottle contains 4 oz of pale yellow liquid that is slightly thicker than an actual oil but thinner than most lubes.  It feels slick and silky when you first apply it and rubs in nicely, making for a decent, if short, massage.  It does eventually get a little sticky, especially if you continue to massage and try to add more.  I primarily use this for teasing intimate areas; it’s nice to rub into, then lick and kiss off, nipples and hips and necks and genitals (if you’re not sensitive).  It warms slightly as you rub it, even more so if you blow on it – with a haaaa, breath, not a hooooo.

The best part, however, is how fantastic it tastes. This really is a sweet, sugar treat for the tongue and lips that has no aftertaste at all.

You may want to shower after using it but, for the most part, if you don’t use too much, you shouldn’t need to.  A dime sized dollop is about all it takes to cover a small area and this isn’t something you want to rub into a whole body.

This bottle is sealed with a small cork and can leak so I’d suggest storing it in a ziplock baggie or standing up somewhere it won’t get tipped over when not in use.  The bottle is discreet in that it is tastefully done but is not going to be mistaken for anything other than an erotic oil.

The Body Souffle comes Vanilla Creme flavor and is packaged in a 7.5 ounce plastic jar with a twist off lid.  The jar is clear with a pale yellow/off white body butter inside and a yellow and black decorative band on the outside. Again, discreet but obvious at the same time. Snoopers will quickly see what it is but a casual glance should leave you safe.

The body souffle is rich, thick – so thick that you can hold the tub upside down and it doesn’t immediately spill out – and smells exactly like vanilla frosting.  It’s amazing and you may find yourself wanting to scoop some out and eat it.

Don’t.  It tastes good when applied in a light layer across the skin and licked, kissed and nibbled but large quantities will leave your tongue feeling a little coated and numb.  I think this is from the small amount of silicone that is in the lotion – I have the same issue with silicone lubes.  It does also contain glycerin and a host of cosmetic ingredients and saccharine for sweetness so know your body and only use it in areas where it won’t cause you distress.

This stuff works great as both a massage lotion – it lasts fairly long – and as a general body cream.  I love to use it after a bath, layered with some Honey Dust, so that when my guy comes up to kiss my sweetly scented skin I taste as good as I smell.

I’ve not noticed any staining with this or the Oil of Love in the vanilla scents but they are light colored.  The darker ones – chocolate, cherry, etc – can stain if you get them on light sheets or clothes.  Use common sense and a pretreating spray if you spill, just to be safe.

The silk rose petals that come with this kit are not exactly realistic to the touch but they do look realistic and are soft enough to lay on without being scratched or poked.  They, basically, feel like any silk flowers do.  They are scented but I’m not sure if they are intentionally scented or if they picked up the scent of the Honey Dust, as the entire box did.    They are in a sealed plastic bag, tucked inside a white mesh bag and there are a couple of handfuls of them.  Enough to scatter along the floor in a little trail to the bed or over the bed itself.

Last but not least is the Honey Dust.  In this kit you get a full sized bag (8 oz) of the Sweet Honeysuckle scent.  It comes in a plastic bag with a satiny drawstring bag to store it in.  I suggest keeping it in the plastic bag and twist tying it closed, then putting that in the drawstring pouch.  If you try to dump the Honey Dust in the pouch, it effectively turns into a powder puff.  You also get a actual powder puff, as opposed to the normal feather, which is prefilled with even more Honey Dust.

The scent of the Honeysuckle dust is not at all like honey and exactly like a honeysuckle flower.  It is sweet and flowery and I personally love it but some may find it a bit strong.  It is a very, very sweet floral!

The honey dust has the consistency of regular body powder or sifted powdered sugar and contains primarily corn starch and dried honey powder as well as fragrance and, again, saccharine as a sweetener.

It dusts on nicely, especially with the included puff.  I really like it a lot when using this as a regular body powder – which I tend to do a lot.  I do miss the feather duster (thankfully I have four of them. heh) for erotic play with this, however.  It’s much more fun to apply to a partner with a tickler than with a poof.

If you use too much of this powder it can get cakey and poof up into the air and make you sneeze.  Use it sparingly, dust it on lightly, and it feels good, leaves your skin feeling silky (never sticky, even in the summer heat) and even helps to keep you dry.  As a romantic powder, it’s a lot of fun to dust on then lick and kiss off.  It tastes sweet, not flowery and as long as you’ve used it lightly doesn’t taste chalky.

All in all, the Sweet Celebrations Box is the best Kama Sutra purchase I’ve ever made.  It would make a fantastic wedding, anniversary or bridal shower gift. Like I said, I had already tried all the products in it but the combination of scents, the packaging and the rose petals really just take this to a new level.  It’s completely, totally, unashamedly romantic and I’m depressed that it’s out of stock because I wanted to buy another one for an upcoming trip we’re taking.

All of the scents go very well together, as they are soft and sweet and do not clash if used at the same time.

All products can be purchased separately for the same price but you’d be missing the box, the rose petals and the powder puff.  Other kits are available though. Just do a search for KamaSutra on EdenFantasys and you’re sure to find something you like!
