Wickedly Sensual
I’m all about the massage, bath, body oils. We all know this. I say it incessantly.
I’m also all about smelling sweet and om nom nom good. Edible smelling, fruity, sweet scents really do it for my guy and him being all sniffy, kissy, snuggly really does it for me.
So I was on cloud nine when I got this Sensually Wicked Fantasys massage oil in the Juicy Joyride scent. It’s freaking full of good for you oils; sunflower, almond, apricot, kukui nut, macadamia nut, evening primrose and jojoba, plus vitamin E and premium fragrance. It smells like Nerds candy. Or maybe orange Lik-m-aid. Or… I dunno. It freaking smells like candy, ok? Orange-y, only not. Like a soft, vanilla, creamy orange with a hint of something tart. (Not in taste. It tastes like scented oil, not candy. Not the greatest if you plan to lick the skin it’s on. But the scent is slightly tart.)
Now I realize not everyone will like that but MY GUY DOES. Right. Which, again, means if i smell good and he likes it, I get uber attention. This is a good thing, a cloud nine inducing thing, a very, very good thing!
On top of the excellent scent and perfect blend of ingredients (I do love me some nut oils) this stuff comes in a 1.6 fl oz brushed aluminum can with a pump top, so it looks really neat and dispenses really, really well. A single pump gives you about a dime sized dollop, a few pumps a nice puddle that oils up a fairly large area. The pump works well, presses easily and dispenses even if you have the bottle tipped sideways. It also comes with a plastic cover that goes over the entire top, keeping it from spilling if it tips over or from accidentally depressing the pump when you don’t mean to.
The bottle is covered with a transparent sticker with the Wicked logo on it, as well as some text that tells you what it is and what the scent is. The oil comes in a variety of scents with mysterious names like fiery frolic, tropycal tryst, whimsical whirl and luscious leap. No where on the bottle does it tell you exactly what scents those names are supposed to translate to so choosing is a bit of a blind leap of faith. I lucked out cuz I love, love, love the Juicy Joyride.
I’m not super fond of it for massage. It works okay but it’s a little weird. The oils in it are somewhat heavy oils so it stays on the surface of the skin for awhile which can make you feel greasy, yet at the same time it also feels like it sinks in so fast you can’t really rub for long. Odd. It’s really nice for after bath, though. Rubbing it into still damp skin leaves you feeling dewy and smelling fantastic for a good, long time. I’ve noticed the scent HOURS after using it, which is rare for massage oils.
It also can stain sheets and clothes if you spill a bunch of it, though it shouldn’t be a problem with normal use. Using some stain removal spray or a dollop of laundry soap directly on the stain and hot water in the wash gets rid of any greasy residue. A warm shower will get rid of any oil left on the skin if you don’t like the feeling of it when you’re finished and the only thing you’ll notice is that you’re a bit softer than you were before.
No matter how you use it, it has a bit more of a warming feeling to it than a lot of oils. I have another oil that is the same way. Neither are warming oils but both seem to warm faster to friction than other oils, meaning the time you do spend rubbing and massaging this is very therapeutic.
I want to get every scent they make but, alas, the only con I about this I can really call a true con is that…
It’s freaking discontinued!
*sob*
I am hoarding mine now, using it sparingly, making it last.
Since I can’t point you to this and suggest you run to grab some, I will point you to Sensuous Oil, which has the same basic oils as ingredients and also the slight warming property to it, with a fabulous, coma-of-delight inducing scent. It’s not fruity, but seems to be universally liked by all who have given it a shot.
