“You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt.”
So today I dug all the weeds out of my garden — which I didn’t plant anything in last year so it had a years worth of weeds in it — and threw down some mulch and planted some seeds in those nifty little dome things in the kitchen. Shortly I will have tomatoes and alyssum and marigolds and parsley and morning glories and lavender to put in the freshly weeded bed. I already have chives and roses and there are lillies around the pond.
Whew. I’m wiped out.
I also got dragged by the hair into the basement for a quickie. Why does he always get turned on when I’m planting or cleaning or… whatever…. that’s all dirty and nasty and sweaty?????
I’m not complaining, of course. :)
Now I’m going to make myself a cup of coffee, sit my ass down on the balony and stare down at the flower beds below and try to figure out what else I want to plant. Herbs, of course, for up on the balcony. And petunias and impatiens for pots and baskets around the yard. Another rose or two to replace the ones that died over winter and some dianthus cuz mine ALL died this winter. Probably some more purple ruffles basil for around the pond cuz it makes a fabulous “tall” plant. So many possibilities…
And it even looks like we’re in for some good, good (70′s) weather this week, other than Tuesday. Yay!
Hope everyone else had as nice a Sunday as I did!
